The Simpsons Movie

I hope it will be good too, but I have a feeling it won't meet the expectations, since they'll be so high.

I probably won't see it opening weekend.
 
i'm going to see it simply because I LOVE the simpsons. I think it's going to be WONDERFUL. I saw the early animatics back when they were shown with sound intact at Comicon like a year or so ago or whenever the heck it was. What I did see was halarious, but I had to stop watching because I didn't want the movie spoiled for me. I watched about 2 or 3 minutes of the film, and to me it seemed to capture that charm of the "golden years" as i call them, seasons 4-7. IMO they were the best seasons, but I still like them all.

It's just mind boggling to me that when they finally do stop making the simpsons, I will have spent close to a thousand dollars (or more depending on when they DO stop) getting them all on DVD. I wish they came out as quickly as south park DVDs.
 
I have a feeling it's gonna be a lot closer to the newer shows than the older ones, but nonetheless, I'll be right there the day it comes out. There's really no reason why this shouldn't be the best movie ever.
 
I'm just praying it isn't a sh!tty as the new episodes but I'm not keeping my hopes up.
 
I have no expectations at all. The teaser trailer SUCKED (come on, a scene of Homer whipping huskies and getting mauled for it was the best they could do to get me interested in this?), and I haven't liked the Simpsons since the late 90s.
