The "I regret Reading Spoilers" thread..

Hello, my name is EHC, and i'm a Spoiler addict..

And I certainly regret it. Most about MK9 I already know about, except story mode. I managed to dodge it here and there with very minor parts of it. Anyway, do any other people regret reading alot of spoilers?
 
YES! I was excited when finding out about characters and stages. Now I've seen a TON of fatalities and heard about stories/endings. I'm cutting it off as best I can until tomorrow night.
 
I spoiled a LITTLE bit more than I wanted. I've seen almost every single fatality, which I mildly regret. But I've kept story mode spoiler-free so that's all that matters to me when it comes to spoilers.
 
It's one thing to spoil yourself before launch day.

But once you get it in your hands, it doesn't seem all that old to you.

I feel bad I spoiled myself with the secrets and special stage-specific fights in Arcade though.
 
Not really, I got it because it's a fun fighter, not because I want to discover everything... Of course, I'm not insulting anyone who did buy it to discover (hey, people mistake what I say ALL THE TIME).
 
I completely regret knowing almost all of the game before I even play it! I'm still so very anxious to play it still but can you imagine how crazy this game would be if you didn't know anything about it...no pics...character confirmations...ect. HAHAHAHA!!!
 
As much as I've seen I'm sure ill still find some suprizes even videos don't tell me how all the characters handle and I've yet to see a curtain ality even once so I'm good
 
i have seen a few second fatalities, the opening scene to the story mode, and accidentally seen the character roaster *thanks a lot Gameinformer! -__-* the story mode, majority character specials/xrays and fatalities, endings, bios and the krypt will be ALL new to me im so glad iv tempted away from the major spoiler threads.

I completely agree with you!

I regret nothing!

I haven't seen not one story mode cinematic, I avoided the Challenge Tower missions and stayed away from "who dies/who lives" from the story.
 
I've spoiled a couple arcade endings and the End Game reward. Other than that and a few alternate costumes, I've remained spoiler free. I'm actually pretty proud of myself, lol. I made my mind up that I wasn't going to spoil the krypt contents or the story mode/arcade endings.
 
i saw the whole story mode, tbh spoilers dont ruin the game for me at all. now if it was mass effect 3. id be dodging the internet because thats one game i dont want spoiled
 
I'm pretty much 100% spoiled but don't really regret it to be honest. To me it's the gameplay that matters the most. For example, I knew the end of The Elder Scrolls Oblivion the moment I had started the game, but it was the journey that mattered and I cashed in hundreds of hours in it still.

Although I gotta admit that MK has probably the best and most developped storyline for a fighting game and I had great fun watching streams with it. In the end I'll end up spending hundreds of hours playing VS mode so it won't matter.

True, but I feel like some things are gonna feel too familiar. Like with fatalities, When I see one on my T.V im afraid im gonna think "Oh yeah, I've seen that before"

But oh well, can't change the past.. unless your Raiden.
 
I saw everything there could possibly be, regarding spoilers.
I still have a feeling I am going to surprised and shocked when I play this game.
 
The character list and *****'s alt costume because I had to see it. Other then that its a fighting game and the story is completely not spoiled for me. The game is a online competitive fighting game, so either way hundreds of hours are going into this game.
 
I don't regret spoiling myself. I've avoided spoiling story mode, which I will start on it tomorrow slightly after midnight.
 
I don't regret what I've spoiled myself on. The only thing is I wish the 'secret' fatalities were actually secret and not some unlockable how-to card in the Krypt. I was hoping they would leave us to figure them out like in the arcade days. From what I've delved in to there isn't much that is actually 'secret' in MK9...at least not yet... it all seems to become unlocked. I miss the arcade days of yore...lol.
