My real top-5 is different (only two of those characters make it), 3 are in the top-10. Just the way the matchups fell.
 
My personal top 10 would be:

1- Sub-Zero (Bi-Han)
2- Scorpion
3- Raiden
4- Liu Kang
5- Fujin
6- Havik
7- Reiko
8- Johnny Cage
9- Sonya
10- Kano

Probably in that order too.
 
I really like this poll. I think it is fairly accurate too as ultimately you are going to end up with your favorite character if you're voting right.

Notice that The top 3 on TheMortalKombat.com are the same top 3 on this poll (Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden). Coincidental? I think not. It also goes to show that Sub-Zero (Kuai Liang) is more known than some people think. It also shows that Noob Saibot(Bi-Han) has carved out his own fanbase because he is number 5 in popularity making him the most popular villain (I still think that popularity comes from him being elder subz). Thus confirming to me that the identities of Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot need not change, they are fine the way they are.

I really do like this poll though. I believe it's fairly accurate besides Dan Forden. I'm assuming people are voting for him to get a good laugh though.

3. Smoke (Only if Cyber though I do not like human smoke at all)

5. Noob Saibot

I don't really think I have tops after that. Those are my favorites

Runners up though would be Kenshi, Shang Tsung, Kung Lao, Li Mei, Kitana, and Ermac. No certain order with those guys though.

Idk why dan was as high as he was but, perhaps people still remember that guy that use to pop up on the side, shout 'Toasty' though some people think he says 'whoopsie', Lol
 
Wow people like Nitara more than Tanya and Sareena?

And what's this? People like Kira more than Nitara????????????????????????? Well, I expect Kira to be back in MK11 with a better moveset then!

Plus, why would people like Frost and Skarlet better than Sindel?

Also I expected more love for Tanya than this... especially when Kira is more liked than her.

For Jade, Kitana, and Mileena, I'm not really surprised because the others above them are more commonly used.

I agree 100% with this.
Top 4 would be those for me too, which begs the question of "Why the hell did NRS kill off 2 of the top 4 characters in all of MK lore, in MK9?"
 
Polls are good. Not really that accurate on my part. I had times where it had my top two favourite in the same match up .-.

Scorpion, Baraka, Reptile, Sub-Zero, Raiden and Liu Kang in no particular order.
Jax, Sonya, Johnny Cage, Jade, Kitana, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Sindel, Kung Lao and Kabal are also great, only in the second tier.
Ashrah, the cyborgs, Shinnok, Shao Kahn, Mavado, Mileena, Kenshi, Li Mei and Stryker are good too.
