Well, let's get over that topic point by point :
- more DLC characters : if they're totally new characters, and not characters from MK4-MKA and that we would see in a probable MK10, then yes. Skarlet was a good example. And I really liked the use of the rumored characters... it always worked for MK, so let's go on with this... that's why rumored or cameo characters would be great, like Tremor or even Hornbuckle... But no Shinnok or Fujin, I really want to be surprised when we see them in MK10.
The possible characters are:
Khamelon and Chamelon. Those two were in the original MKT rooster and who says that they are not going to rework them completely. Even if they are mainly copycats they could give them at least new movesets. At this point we can only speculate how they are going to be, if they are going to be released. But they have a legitimate reason to be released. Even Rain who was in the original MKT rooster had been released.
Also the following characters have a high probability to be released:
Daegon, Reiko, Frost, or Sareena. They are pit fighters and the released Kenshi was also a pit fighter.
Tanya, Li Mei or Kira. They are slaves in Shao Khans arena and Skarlet, which was released, was also a chained slave.

- more DLC costumes : well, since it's on its way, let's finish all the palet swap thing and get all the ninja and kunoichi costumes from MK/MK2/MK3... but I still would like classic costumes for other characters (like Raiden or Sonya) and, even more, new alts (especially for Cyber Sub-Zero and the DLC characters... it just seems unfait that Mileena, Kitana and Jade have 4 different costumes and C.S.-B., Skarlet, Kenshi and certainly Rain have only one)
Palette swaps costumes will be most likely used as promotional material for the upcoming DLC characters, whereas the other classic costumes (All other on the rooster who aren't DLC or guest) will also get their respective MK1, MK2, MK3 costume in the upcoming classic packages, which aren't free.

- DLC Fatalities : another "hell yeah"! I think everyone want that. They could begin with a "Klassic Fatalities Pack" for all the MK characters (that would make only 5 more fatalities, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile already got theirs) and continue with new fatalities for each characters... but it looks like it won't happen
Not only that everyone wants them they are going to be released after the costume and character batches. First they are going to release stage fatalities. Well each stage has options for a stage fatality and they claimed that every stage would have one in the beginning. Therefore it's possible that the stage fatalities are going to be released. Well at least the bell tower fatality. As for other fatalities, well maybe each fighter will get up to 2 new fatalities making it four per character. This number was also stated by NRS in the past.

- DLC Finishers : I'm all in for Brutalities (someone here thought of a mix of X-Rays and Brutality, that would be cool). I'm although mixed about Hara-Kiris and Friendships... Hara-Kiris would be great if the losing side could do them, but Friendships seem like only a waste of time and money.
Brutalities: Not possible at the moment, as they had to relinquish their system due to the pressure from WB and due to the lack of time.
Friendships: Possible, just like a fatality they are only need to make a simple instruction file and provide some objects like balls, flowers and so on.
Hara-Kiri: Also possible, just a simple instruction file like every fatality. To be honest I don't like the idea of them at all but that's just my personal reason it doesn't effect the possibility of coming.

- DLC modes : 1Player Versus Mode!!!! Please! Come on! It's a fighting game and I cannot fight with whoever I want against whoever I want! The only way to do that is in training... and then no fatalities of course...
Highly possible and will definitely come no doubt about that.

- DLC arenas : hell yeah! The ones we got look so cool I would really like some more. And with more stage fatalities too! Kombat Tomb all the way!
NRS stated that they aren't going to release stages. The amount of work for stages is tremendous due to the stereoscopic 3D animations and all the neat background animations. We cannot expect stages from the side of NRS at least not until we, the fans, signalize our demand for it, very clearly.

But in conclusion, I think it's obvious we'll only get new costumes, new characters (maybe another 4 max after the ??? one) and maybe, only maybe, some new fatalities. Waiting for more would only help us being disappointed later.
We will definitely get all classic costumes and at least one new costume. Four or eight more characters but definitely no more. And all stage fatalities and the VS CPU mode. Fatalities are also possible just like Friendships or Hara-Kiri. As for Brutalities I don't know maybe in the ULTIMATE MK 9 version or in the GAME OF THE YEAR version or in MK10 but not in the next months, that's for sure.
X-Rays could be also possible. They introduced this system but don't use them as they could. I presume that we will get at least one X-ray per character after the costumes and the character
Also something that nobody wishes for are victory, mid-victory and ending animations. Just one victory/mid-victory/entry pose isn't enough. They are already different victory poses in the challenge tower, which are also very decent. Giving the character two or three of them would certainly reduce the repetitiveness. By giving them up to four the repetitiveness would be gone until the release of MK10 but that's just wishful thinking.
