RT @Shanesito @noobde After the ?? is release with his alt kostumes, is MK9 death? Noobde: Our original plan was for 4. But who knows?

Any thoughts on this..? are you guys happy with just these 4 characters or do you want NRS to release more in the future?

Thats not what he said a while a go, then again he trolls hard at times lol
But to answer your question, no am not happy at all.
Specially when he said that he plans on supporting this game for a long time with DLC characters.

I hope hes trolling when he said what you posted sir. :/

I actually only want 4 DLC characters. I want to be surprised when I see the post umk3 characters and what their roles will be. If I see them now I wont be as excited when they are shown in mk 10.

No. No more kharacters.

I want to see some new arenas, or old and refined arenas. Like the Kombat Tomb, and the Pit 3 in Shao Kahn's Palace.
Or some new kostumes, and not the klassic BS. Why is it that Kitana and Jade get two sets of klassics? MK3 and 2. Other kharacters like Johnny Cage, Kano and Jax need klassics too.
Also, maybe some more Fatalities with the kostumes too?

**** it. They can add 100 for all I care. I'm not gonna spend $500 for them all, but if they can keep them varied enough, I don't mind playing against them.

I think they should make 2 more characters Cyber Smoke and Chameleon assuming the ??? character isn't one of them and a Motaro boss fight after that they should make 3rd alternates for everyone except Mileena and make Cyber Sub Zero 2 more

I'd be a little disappointed if the add-on content stopped here. NRS has been testing the water with regards to DLC. They will know the fans have been asking for more stuff, but it'll only happen if the current DLC brings in decent money.

While I am happy with the current DLC characters I'd like to see more content. More characters would be all well and good, but there's more that they could release. Stages, fatalities, costumes, game modes, and the like would all help extend the life of the game. I know NRS has shot down a couple of these suggestions, but I'm hoping they'll really follow through on their promise to support MK9 for a long time and keep the content coming.

Ed has stated in his twitter that Arena's are prooobably not going to be DLC, i'll look where he said that when I have time

Well, let's get over that topic point by point :

- more DLC characters : if they're totally new characters, and not characters from MK4-MKA and that we would see in a probable MK10, then yes. Skarlet was a good example. And I really liked the use of the rumored characters... it always worked for MK, so let's go on with this... that's why rumored or cameo characters would be great, like Tremor or even Hornbuckle... But no Shinnok or Fujin, I really want to be surprised when we see them in MK10.

- more DLC costumes : well, since it's on its way, let's finish all the palet swap thing and get all the ninja and kunoichi costumes from MK/MK2/MK3... but I still would like classic costumes for other characters (like Raiden or Sonya) and, even more, new alts (especially for Cyber Sub-Zero and the DLC characters... it just seems unfait that Mileena, Kitana and Jade have 4 different costumes and C.S.-B., Skarlet, Kenshi and certainly Rain have only one)

- DLC arenas : hell yeah! The ones we got look so cool I would really like some more. And with more stage fatalities too! Kombat Tomb all the way!

- DLC Fatalities : another "hell yeah"! I think everyone want that. They could begin with a "Klassic Fatalities Pack" for all the MK characters (that would make only 5 more fatalities, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile already got theirs) and continue with new fatalities for each characters... but it looks like it won't happen :(

- DLC Finishers : I'm all in for Brutalities (someone here thought of a mix of X-Rays and Brutality, that would be cool). I'm although mixed about Hara-Kiris and Friendships... Hara-Kiris would be great if the losing side could do them, but Friendships seem like only a waste of time and money.

- DLC modes : 1Player Versus Mode!!!! Please! Come on! It's a fighting game and I cannot fight with whoever I want against whoever I want! The only way to do that is in training... and then no fatalities of course...

But in conclusion, I think it's obvious we'll only get new costumes, new characters (maybe another 4 max after the ??? one) and maybe, only maybe, some new fatalities. Waiting for more would only help us being disappointed later.

Palette swaps take less work and unfortunatlely while I was going through Boon's tweets he said that it's unlikely we'll get DLC stages. :(

I don't get the point of releasing Tanya as DLC if the ***** is going to be in the next game for sure, but whatever...

I really want more DLC if possible. I couldnt give a damn about the next game seeing as this one is barely 3 months old. I want to enjoy this game as long as possible.

Stages I doubt we will see but I think almost everything else is possible. Stage fatalities appear that they could be done on almost every stage in the game so far and that is something I would really like. New characters are always welcomed. Klassic fatalities are ehhh. Most of the older fatalities are boring so I wouldnt use a lot of them anyhow. Finishers (brutalities) would be a neat addition but Friendships was one of the worst ideas of them all. Animalities, although amusing, are kind of ugh too unless they really made them fit the game. Klassic kostumes are a half and half for me ... some I would really like, some I never use now.

The possible characters are:

Khamelon and Chamelon. Those two were in the original MKT rooster and who says that they are not going to rework them completely. Even if they are mainly copycats they could give them at least new movesets. At this point we can only speculate how they are going to be, if they are going to be released. But they have a legitimate reason to be released. Even Rain who was in the original MKT rooster had been released.

Also the following characters have a high probability to be released:

Daegon, Reiko, Frost, or Sareena. They are pit fighters and the released Kenshi was also a pit fighter.
Tanya, Li Mei or Kira. They are slaves in Shao Khans arena and Skarlet, which was released, was also a chained slave.

Palette swaps costumes will be most likely used as promotional material for the upcoming DLC characters, whereas the other classic costumes (All other on the rooster who aren't DLC or guest) will also get their respective MK1, MK2, MK3 costume in the upcoming classic packages, which aren't free.

Not only that everyone wants them they are going to be released after the costume and character batches. First they are going to release stage fatalities. Well each stage has options for a stage fatality and they claimed that every stage would have one in the beginning. Therefore it's possible that the stage fatalities are going to be released. Well at least the bell tower fatality. As for other fatalities, well maybe each fighter will get up to 2 new fatalities making it four per character. This number was also stated by NRS in the past.

Brutalities: Not possible at the moment, as they had to relinquish their system due to the pressure from WB and due to the lack of time.

Friendships: Possible, just like a fatality they are only need to make a simple instruction file and provide some objects like balls, flowers and so on.

Hara-Kiri: Also possible, just a simple instruction file like every fatality. To be honest I don't like the idea of them at all but that's just my personal reason it doesn't effect the possibility of coming.

Highly possible and will definitely come no doubt about that.

NRS stated that they aren't going to release stages. The amount of work for stages is tremendous due to the stereoscopic 3D animations and all the neat background animations. We cannot expect stages from the side of NRS at least not until we, the fans, signalize our demand for it, very clearly.

We will definitely get all classic costumes and at least one new costume. Four or eight more characters but definitely no more. And all stage fatalities and the VS CPU mode. Fatalities are also possible just like Friendships or Hara-Kiri. As for Brutalities I don't know maybe in the ULTIMATE MK 9 version or in the GAME OF THE YEAR version or in MK10 but not in the next months, that's for sure.

X-Rays could be also possible. They introduced this system but don't use them as they could. I presume that we will get at least one X-ray per character after the costumes and the character

Also something that nobody wishes for are victory, mid-victory and ending animations. Just one victory/mid-victory/entry pose isn't enough. They are already different victory poses in the challenge tower, which are also very decent. Giving the character two or three of them would certainly reduce the repetitiveness. By giving them up to four the repetitiveness would be gone until the release of MK10 but that's just wishful thinking.

I agree with you about those two. They are the only ones left from the MK Trilogy roster. And although I see a lot of people not wanting, or even liking them, I for myself would love the opportunity to morph (or even only do a palette swap) into the other ninjas with Chameleon.

We'll see about all these... but I'm like 90% sure about Tanya. Damn, I even think she's going to be the ??? character. She seems like the most probable choice with her being chained and all like Skarlet.

That's all good for me, I'd love a Klassic Skin Pack with Raiden, Sonya, J. Cage, etc... But I'd still like some "really" new alts.

I'm all for what you say... I hope it's true... that would make a bunch of different fatalities to do and after some months, we really need the diversity.

Brutalities: Not possible at the moment, as they had to relinquish their system due to the pressure from WB and due to the lack of time.

Friendships: Possible, just like a fatality they are only need to make a simple instruction file and provide some objects like balls, flowers and so on.

A shame about the Brutalities, but understandable. And please please please no Friendships! It's just my opinion but with this MK being gory and all, Babalities are my limit about the ridiculous (and that's just because of the humiliation they come with). As for Hara-Kiris, I would love a system like that (only in Versus Mode, Online or Offline)
- you lose
- you opponent tries to perform a Fatality
- if you perform your Hara-Kiri before he finishes his Fatality, you cancel the Fatality and do you Hara-Kiri
- you're a little bit less ashamed to have been beaten to a pulp! :)

Highly possible and will definitely come no doubt about that.

You made my day with that! Any sources or is it just your opinion?

Yeah, I heard before they weren't going to release new stages. That would have been great but I understand the development costs are too much for just stages.

I certainly hope we won't have to buy a "new" game to have all the contents. What about all the fans who will have paid for the contents till then. I would be like "Hey guys! You paid a lot and thanks! But now, if you want the game you have but with like 2 new little things, then buy the game another time!" I really hope NRS (or WB) wouldn't go that far in greedy merchandising.

X-Rays could be also possible. They introduced this system but don't use them as they could. I presume that we will get at least one X-ray per character after the costumes and the character

New X-Rays would be great really, but then there's the input problem. The X-Rays input right now doesn't offer many options to chose between X-Rays... maybe something like L2+R2 for the first one and L2+R1 for the second one... seems not probable though...

Also something that nobody wishes for are victory, mid-victory and ending animations. Just one victory/mid-victory/entry pose isn't enough. They are already different victory poses in the challenge tower, which are also very decent. Giving the character two or three of them would certainly reduce the repetitiveness. That would be nice, but only with free DLC. I don't think it would be cool to ask gamers to pay for that.

Well, I'm already happy with the roster. Costumes don't really affect the gameplay, just the visuals. Maybe at this point only stages and fatalities are the only ones I could want. Game is already fine the way it is. But any DLC they put out, I'll support. =D
