Sub-Zero Thread - "Feel Death's Cold Embrace!"

great post. Lots of work put into it and very helpful for Sub-Zero users. I've dabbled in such Clone shenanigans, they can be really useful once or twice in a match to catch people off-guard.
I've been looking for an ice clone guide like Kaballer's for the longest. I highly appreciate it, I'm definetely going to start going back to my sub-zero now. Good Post.

Now I'm in need of some help. I want to update my guide with a lot of details. And I mean a lot. The Ice Claw reset, the Ice Puddle reset, the Ice Clone scenarios, etc. However, I keep reaching the character limit. I've tried trimming down most of the tips. I've tried taking most of the color notations out of the guide. I can't trim down my guide any further, but there still isn't enough space. Does anyone have any ideas, besides trimming down my guide, on how to get around this character limit?

I edited the layout of the combos section, now you can see the combos with the damage of the most used starters B+1,2 (most damaging) and 2,2 (fastest and safest)

For example:

33/30%--- B+1,2 / 2,2 - Ice ball - NJP - Dash - B+1,2 - 2,1,2 - Slide

It does 33% with the string B+1,2 and 30% with 2,2.

I was thinkin' the exact same thing lol. Sounds like a winner to me. You can update your signature and it's all good.

That's a pretty solid idea. It's not gonna revolutionize anything, but the more the better, honestly. Knowing more s--t about a character is never a bad thing.

I did it because that ones are the 2 most important strings, and people can decide wich string to use, personally I use 2,2 more because is faster and safer, but some people maybe prefer B+1,2 because is more damaging but slower, is just a matter of tastes.
 
You have plenty of combos, but my corner BnB is:

2,1,4,ice ball,2,1,4 slide. Does about 38 I think, have to check again, I know 2,1,4,IB,2,1,4,X-ray does 50%

I've used both of those and they're more damaging then either 2,2 or B+1,2 but it's nowhere near as safe. It's pretty punishable on block and, in my opinion, isn't worth the risk. Just my two cents.

214 is pretty safe on JumpIn, especially in the corner. If ur enemy is trapped with an IClone - JumpInPunch 214xxIB/Slide/Clone(if timed right) is my preferred weapon (:

and JP,214xxFreeze,214xxSlide = 39%

JP,214xxFreeze,214xxXray = 46 or 48% not sure..

JP,214xxFreeze,DashBack,B12,214xxXray = 53 or 55% ..not using this much online ..timing screws it sometimes.

I cannot tell you how many times I have tried this corner combo. It refuses to work for me.
224 - Ice Ball - B dash - B12 - 214 - X-Ray works peachy. But 214 - Ice Ball - B dash - B12 - 214 - X-Ray falls short at the second 214. Are you positive this is possible?

I confirm this is impossible.
You are not able to hit the opponent with the last hit of the second 214 because he falls on the ground, it doesn't work even if you try 212.

ok ..ur right. I've been hitting the training mode now for 30 min and wasn't able to re-do it.. Maybe patched`o.O ..been doing this before the patch ..

Anyway ..JP,224xxFreeze,BackDash,B12,214xxXray = 55% ..so this probably the highest Xray Combo without reset.

with Reset:

Corner:
JP,22xxFreeze,wait,B2,dash,B12,214xxXray = 61% (with JP,B12 Starter 63%)

MidScreen:
JP,22xxFreeze,wait,B2,dash,B12,212xxXray = 57% (with JP,B12 Starter 59%)

has he really? boon just wants scorpion to stay better b/c thats his favorite

Is impossible, Scorpion cannot be better than SZ in this game, if they want to do that they have to nerf SZ a lot and buff Scorpion a lot and it wont happen.

Could have been in one of the patches before too ..because I've been doing this long time ago ..never used it because of the harsh timing..

I can test this again if you want, but it's not useful...
