It sucks for Sub-Zero to go. I don't want Frost to take his place in the next game!

There's gotta be a way for Sub-Zero to be faster than slow and defensive!

And if Sub-Zero were to come back, who would you choose?

Never the cyborg sub-zero again!

I wanna see a faster Sub-Zero. Its either Kuai Liang or a new fighter to take the brothers' place in honoring the identity.

Hopefully its someone who'll have the scar.

I'd prefer a HUMAN Sub-Zero, but at this point, as long as there is A Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat, I'm fine with it.
It does HAVE to be one of the brothers, though, IMO.
Bi-Han or Kuai-Liang.

I wrote a whole story on how Sub-Zero (Bi-Han) can come back, via the Soulnado, if anyone is interested.

Also, I really hope that NRS doesn't pull a douche move, like making him a $5 DLC.
That would be the ultimate "f*** you" from NRS to the fans.

Kuai liang. Only option for me. It's a character I get that. However, that character has fans and for like the past 3 years Kuai Liang has just been crapped on.

He got turned into a cyborg then murdered. Then this dumb legacy show basically swaps he and Bi Hans roles a bit making Kuai Liang to look like an a**hole, and Bi-Han the super saint who is apparently bff with scorpion or was anyway. Wtf?

Basically I think Kuai Liang deserves a bit of a come back here. He's caught so much crap for the past couple years and the worst part is I feel like half of it is to glorify Scorpion even more than he already is. God, I used to like scorpion but he really is over used. Had no use being in injustice.

That is all. Kuai Liang for MK10 or bust.

Sub Zero could be succeeded by Frost which wouldn't sit well with fans. Be resurrected like in Araknyd's post(Araknyd could you leave a link?). Or they just include human Sub Zero as an unlockable just like they did for Cyber Zero in MK9.

Though it is unlikely they'd make Zero DLC.... they have done that sort of thing before with Tremor and Kenshi.

Everything else aside. Kuai Lang all the way

I don't agree with Frost being his successor, but she could be in, as long as she has a different moves.
I don't want to see Frost being a copy-paste of Sub-Zero moves, like she was in the past.

Kuwabara, here is my Bi-Han story, also for anyone else that wants to read it:

Spoiler:

Growing tired of Quan Chi’s failed conquest, slowly his 3 closest assassins had begun to lose faith in the sorcerer.
Even though Shinnok would be freed, they had serious doubts as to Quan Chi’s promise that Earth would be under his control.
Sareena knew about the portal that Quan Chi used to travel to EarthRealm, but considering that she would be out-numbered by Johnny Cage, Raiden and Sonya, she didn’t use it.
After all, Quan Chi rules the NetherRealm, and a demon leaving the NetherRealm would be seen as a treacherous act.

The 3 assassins Kia, Jataaka and Sareena are sent by Quan Chi (along with Scorpion) to investigate various disturbances throughout the NetherRealm, shortly after the fall of Shao Kahn, and were ordered to “kill anyone who is a traitor to the NetherRealm.”
Each one of them was to guard a different area of the NetherRealm.
Scorpion investigated the North end.
Kia investigated the East end.
Jataaka investigated the South end.
Sareena was left to investigate the West end.

During her investigation of the West end of the NetherRealm, Sareena happened to notice a fallen warrior lying on the ground, unconscious.
Where he had come from or who he was remained a mystery to her.
He had cuts all over his body as if he had been in a sword fight against a multitude of people, and the garments he wore were torn to shreds.
He was alive but very badly injured.
Curious as to the identity of the fallen warrior, Sareena hid him in a cave, near the area that she was investigating.

Days went by with Kia Jataaka, Scorpion and Sareena reporting to Quan Chi, then continuing their guarded posts.
Sareena never reported the warrior that she found for fear that Quan Chi and the other NetherRealm assassins would turn against her, due to her treachery.
The warrior would gain consciousness from time to time, for a few moments, and then pass out again in pain.
After a couple of weeks, the warrior regained consciousness.
Sareena had check in on him to see how he was doing, but in doing so had neglected to report to Quan Chi.
The injured warrior still didn’t know how he had arrived at the NetherRealm or entirely what happened to him.
He thanked Sareena for her hospitality and began to explain:
“All that I remember was that I was in a green energy field, and it felt like I was physically being torn apart.”
“I no longer felt this evilness lingering inside of me.”
“ I blacked-out from the pain, and I’m surprised to have even survived.”

Quan Chi’s suspicion began to rise, and he wondered if Sareena had been killed, captured or just departed altogether which would be a betrayal on her part.
He sent Scorpion, Kia and Jataaka to find out the whereabouts of Sareena.
From the entrance of the cave, Sareena could see that Scorpion, Kia and Jataaka were looking for her.
They spotted Sareena with the strange warrior and began running towards her.
By helping this stranger, Scorpion saw her as a traitor and teleported right for her.

Just as Scorpion was about to slash her with one of his swords, the strange warrior used all of his might and pushed her out of his way, leaving Scorpion stuck in a block of ice.
Sareena was shocked that she had survived, and was quickly on her feet again.
Kia and Jataaka were in pursuit when they saw that Scorpion was momentarily incapacitated and that Sareena was escaping.
Sareena helped the injured warrior to his feet, and instructed him to head for the EarthRealm portal that Quan Chi had previously used.
As they went through the portal, it closed up behind them, which left Kia and Jataaka stuck in the NetherRealm.
Scorpion, Kia and jataaka reported to Quan chi what had just happened, and Quan Chi re-opened the portal for the 3 of them to pursue Sareena and bring her back alive, and to kill this mysterious warrior.

Sareena and the injured warrior had arrived to a small farming village.
They went walking through and one of the villagers faintly recognized him saying “Bi-Han?”

I don't care. They could improve his Cyber Sub Zero look and have him unmasked and have Cyberknetic attachments so he resembles The classic Sub Zero. A bit like the Sub Zero fromthe MK Re-Birth trailer/short film.

I think that Cyber Sub-zero could return - they've stated that Sektor is pretty much soulless so it's established that the cyborgs don't need a soul to run ... someone could just fix his body, maybe put in some new human parts from a sacrifice, and he's back. I do think that whether the cyber version returns or not, there HAS to be a human version. Maybe after being in the soulnado Bi Han is cleansed (as in AC's story above) and gets chosen as the Elder Gods' champion and is brought back to life. They will need one after all seeing as Shinnok is planning an assault on the Heavens. Either that or NRS might have some sort of plan to bring the fallen Earthrealm warriors back to life somehow. Personally I would prefer the dead characters stay that way, but I don't mind if there's some interaction with them in story mode as long as they're non-playable or unlockable.

Oh you already know the popular ones arent staying dead...

NRS will provide the ALT costume; Subz(human) for primary Cyber Subz probably.

That's what is assumed, based on Midway's previous stigma of "characters don't stay dead," but things may be different now that WB owns NRS.
I hope that you're right, though, and that some of them don't stay dead.

I hope Kitana and Jade at least spring back to life and I don't mean as zombies. I mean, going back to life to save Edenia.

I don't see why WB would want to keep popular chars from the game...including Sub Zero(who died).

Im sure they will be back, most of them.
I don't know about Stryker though...

That's a great explanation for Bi Han's return. Why didn't Zero recognize Sareena? Though one could simply say he was just waking up from being torn apart and being reassembled.

Easy.
DLC Money.
If NRS wanted to sell Sub-Zero as a DLC character in MK10, for $5 a pop, what's to stop them from doing so?

As much as people b****ed and complained about Freddy Kruger in MK9 (I was one of them), Freddy was the highest selling DLC in MK9.

I hate the sound of that scenario, but nonetheless, it's still a possible scenario.

Why did people complain about Freddy? I'd complain about Kenshi since he was actually mentioned in the game

It has to do with guest characters.

People don't like random guest characters interrupting the feel of that game.
Same thing happened with Injustice (which I could uinderstand why they were mad, but Scorpion IS the NRS logo).
Kenshi is an MK character, and just because he was mentioned in the game or an ending doesn't mean he was originally going to be in.
Kenshi is a build-up for MK10, just the same way that Frost, Bo Rai Cho and Reiko were all also mentioned in some way in MK9 but never actually made it to the main game.
Ed Boon's 2nd favorite character is also Kenshi, 2nd to Scorpion.

The fact that alot of fans probably wont even buy the game WITHOUT Sub Zero(which ever) already in it as a playable char...

The fact that they'd possibly have to promote the game absent Sub Zero... until his DLC shows up which is usually a few weeks AFTER the game comes out.

All sounds bad for business to me... especially for a landmark 10th installment.

that's what's gonna stop them...

Did any of that stop them from making MK3 without Scorpion or Deadly Alliance without Liu Kang in it in the past? NO

Scorpion and Liu Kang are among the 4 top recognizable characters (along with Sub-Zero and Raiden) of the MK franchise, and NRS Midway made games without them in the past.

Yeah, that's what I was aiming for.
After being knocked unconscious and going through a vicious Soulnado, he was trying to piece things together again.
