I'd say MK games had been terrible since MK4. [MK4 I think did well in some aspects, like atmosphere, [which includes soundtrack and more], along with the storyline. Just the battle system was kind of bad, but far better than the other 3D games.

My friend and I go over this game all the time.

What I would like to see:

Art: Mortal Kombat proportions for ALL characters including SF characters. No super bulky characters. Height is fine so long as it's natural looking. However, keep the cel shading/oil painting look of SSF4. It just looks so sweet. But make it a bit darker.

Include blood, gore, and fatalities for both franchises. Let's not make any apologies with this. I want to see Ryu throw a fireball so big and hot it reduces his opponents to ash. I want to see Akuma brutalize someone with his dark hado so bad that it literally liquifies their organs and bones. I want to see Sagat slam his knee so hard into his opponent's ribs that you can watch the ribs rip through their lungs and heart. I want to see Goro straight rip Bison in half. Seriously... art wise, no apologies. Let's make this shit count for generations.

Gameplay:

We'll have to sit back and see what MK9 brings to the table. If it's damned good, then I want to see a fusion of MK9 gameplay with Street Fighter 4 gameplay. Something familiar to everyone, but still has a learning curve for all.

I will always want this game to happen.

The most LIKELY way this can happen is like how Street Fighter vs. Tekken is happening. You'll get two versions. An NRS based game and a Capcom based game. They'd be separate titles with different agendas. This would permit both companies to basically go wild with whatever they wanted. Both vs. titles would be mega hits.

I would be interested to see what SFvMK or MKvSF would look like. They would undoubtedly go with the same two-game deal that happened with CvS and SFxTekken.

I'm gonna say I do NOT like this idea of SFvsTk and TkvsSF versions. Capcom is already really bad about dlc and monetizing everything. They've gotten pretty terrible. Idk how they will affect the namco part of it but I'm already staying away from this game. The MVC3 dlc has pissed me off to no end. And the SS4 stuff was pretty terrible already. So I'd expect to get a game with less than 20 people and like 6 on disc dlc. I hate when companies try to squeeze out so much. I know it's their purpose but there is a line.

So I don't want Capcom to touch my MK. Plus this two versions of the same game just seems like a problem waiting to happen. Major fans are going to be buying both and it's going to be like if you want to play with friends there's four possibilities.

Wanna play a game? Let's play online! :D <
V
PS3 or Xbox (Well I just lost some friends like usual)
V
PS3 TkvsSF, PS3 SFvsTk, Xbox TkvsSF, Xbox SFvsTk (Really?)

So basically I F'ing hate Capcom because they have repeatedly crossed a line and have abused their fan base. And I don't want them to get anywhere near MK. Also the guy that made Street Fight does not like MK lol. But a tiny part of me wants to be able to show 18 different fatalities of Ryu to some of those hardcore SF fans.
Tekken I would not be as opposed to tbh, and I could almost see Soul Calibur taking an MK character in and MAYBE a crossover attempt spawning from that.

If you want to find a crossover think of something gory that people die a lot in and isn't a fighting game. There may not be something dead on fighting but something close could be thought of.

sorry this is so long. I really hate Capcom lol

When did Ono ever say he hated MK? If you're talking about that one interview where he said "different philosophies" that doesn't mean he hates MK. On that note: You think Capcom was bad about DLC? Go play Soul Calibur IV from Namco, yeah, I'll wait. Some of the biggest crap I've ever seen.

MK vs DC was cute, but I'd say "no". MK vs Killer Instinct would be cool as booth are bloody and violent, and realistic graphics. MK vs War Gods and even MK vs Primal Rage are OK, but such childish-cartoonish games as SF or especially Tekken are, IMHO, absolutely incompatible with MK.

Wait, did you just say Tekken was cartoonish? For serious?

MK is far more cartoonish than Tekken.

Wow. Bots are getting really smart. It's only a matter of time now until the bots take over the whole of Internet!!!

wow that was ****ing random lol. I am just watching a show on G4TV and this azn dude from fireeye is talking about hackers and "bots". dEJA vu.

I think this could work if they did it like Street Fighter x Tekken and Tekken x Street Fighter.

You know, because Capcom and Namco are basically making two separate games.

SFvMK is like how Capcom would make it, rated T with 6 buttons, different projectile speeds, non-violent specials instead of x-rays and fatalities. Tag team would be included. Projectiles would block each other etc. and would probably be in a more anime/cartoon art style.

Then the MKvSF by NRS would be rated M and would take characters specials and turn them into X-Rays and fatalities. Could you imagine how cool a mortal kombat styled ryu would be doing a shin shoryuken as a x-ray? Then he does a shinku hadouken that burns the player's chest to a skeleton for a fatality?

Though Capcom has too much "respect" to do that and humiliate their beloved characters...

No. Just no. Just because a bunch of MK fanatics hate another series doesn't make those characters "gay" or anything of the sort.

/facepalm.

Don't listen to him, he's just a troll that has yet to be banned.

I absolutely love Tekken and (Most of) its characters.
But I would never want to see Tekken or Street Fighter going head to head with MK.

WAYYY too different in terms of play.
And I don't feel like buying the same game twice just for different play styles.

They should definitely do one in each playstyle. This thing would sell like crazy so I really don't understand why the companies themselves arent super psyched about doing it.

My guess is that if MK continues improving it's games then Capcom will be all for it.

OK... MK vs SF wouldn't work. SF is too anime.... MK vs Tekken I would have preferred when I was younger but now that I really look at it, MK has special powers where tekken is more of a straight fighter with no special powers. MK fighters would kill Tekken!! As for MK vs DC., I was not a fan mostly because, for me, it strayed too far from the M-rated roots. I think MK would be best to just stay as its own!!!

It would be interesting. I'm pretty happy with Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter for now though.
