Which characters will die in the mk x story?

Kano is said to be around the age of 35 in the 1st MK tournament. And with MK9 the Alternate timeline continued at the same rate. If Kano does manage to make it later in the MK X timeline, he'll be about 55-60 depending on NRS's take on things.

A 60 yr old Kano looking the way he does, its possible...and remember he's had some work done lol
 
We don't know how old this Kano is in MKX.
He could be killed off right at the 10 year mark int he story mode.
 
Kano is one of the most iconic villains in the series. I doubt he will be killed off, maybe he be lock up in a special jail for a long time in Earthrealm or Outworld then have him come back in MK12.
 
Just a few of my hopes/thoughts

-Sonya and johnny while raising Cassie will be attacked by the black dragon, resulting in Sonya's death and forcing Johnny to raise her alone. Scorpion breaks free from quan Chi's bonds but is then hunted by the new sub-zero. Lui kang is left horribly burnt from mk9 and leaves raiden and the others to live a life of loneliness and depression mourning Kitana.

-Kotal becomes the new ruler. D'Vorah takes over Reptile's role as his personal assassin/bodyguard. He also takes control of the Shokan and Tarkatan armies. (i would love to see baraka become the new ruler, tired of being servant to emperor's for years...but it will never happen) Reiko becomes the general of his armies and secretly wants to rule.

-Kotal is manipulated by Quan Chi to attempt to take over Earthrealm, Kotal however shows he is stronger than Quan Chi and that he wouldn't be easily taken out. Raiden then rounds up some warriors (including Fujin/Kai/Johnny) and the Edenian army to take him out. Reiko plans with quan chi to take out kotal and become emperor

-D'vorah is killed by Raiden. Kotal mortally wounds raiden, Kotal is then betrayed by Reiko and killed. Reiko becomes the new Kahn until Shinnok appears with quan Chi and they take him out. Tanya joins Shinnoks side.

-Shinnok attempts to take over the realms. Raiden names Fujin the new protector of Earthrealm before dieing, Fujin recruits kai and the the now adult Cassie along. Lui kang makes his reappearance, forgiving Raiden before he died and joins them.

-Showdown between Fujin and Shinnok, kano and Cassie, Scorpion and quan Chi, Kai and tanya. Lui kang leaves for another story thread to defeat Goro.

-Cassie defeats Kano but not wanting to be like him, simply knocks him out and restrains him, Scorpion kills Quan Chi and Fujin and Shinnok are evenly matched. Kai kills tanya

-Shinnock kills Kai, The rest try their hardest but can't muster the strength. Johnny Cage returns and helps Liu kang defeat Goro.

-Cyber Shao Kahn suddenly appears and everyone with their combined might defeats Shinnok. Cyber shao kahn then betrays them and mortally wounds Johnny before Lui kang appears an defeats him.

-Cyber shao kahn retreats and abandons the war, though he swears revenge on Lui Kang. Reptile is reinstated as his personal assassin/bodyguard. baraka as his army general and Cassie leaves to kill him after Johnny dies, sets up the next mk.

I doubt we will see Shao Kahn for another game until the next decade. The Gamecube version of MKD had Shao Kahn for the first time in a MK game since MKT and the Gamecube version of MKD came out nearly a decade later. Besides Cyber Shao Kahn sounds lazy and god awful. Sounds like something a 13 year old would make on Fan Fiction.net or Deviantart.

slow down speed racer, It's just a few things i think could happen, not necessarilly all together or in that order. Just some random plot points. I honestly think Cyber Shao kahn could be a thing, that ending being so specific and without sound seemed real purposeful

Ed said that it will mostly take place in year 25 and be going back and forth in time to certain times.
Sounds like flashbacks going back in different times, to me, like Raiden is telling a story from MK9 and then going to flashbacks from year 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25, explaining what's going on in the current time.




Here is my story prediction / fan-fic for MKX:


Raiden is gathered with some of the living MK warriors in MKX, and explaining what happened to get to year 25 (where they currently are).


- The 3 (Johnny, Sonya and Raiden) survive / escape the NetherRealm threat after MK9, before Cassie was even born, leading up to this more evil threat in the current time.
Another possibility could even involve Kano, who finds out that Johnny Cage and Sonya have a daughter, and he goes after them to try to kill them.

- Scorpion sees this new Sub-Zero, but realizes that something is different about him (possibly a nephew or pupil of 1 of the former brothers).
They learn from Raiden that Quan Chi is the TRUE mastermind behind the suffering that's gone on in both of their families, leading Sub-Zero and Scorpion to team up this 1 time, to hunt down a common enemy.

- Quan Chi and Shinnok plot to take over EarthRealm.
Similar to his MK4 ending, Quan Chi forges a fake amulet and gives it to Shinnok, keeping the real amulet for himself.
With the real amulet, Quan Chi kills Shinnok and continues on his quest to take over Earth with the forces of NetherRealm and Outworld.
He runs into a bit of a snag, as Kotal Kahn is the current ruler of Outworld, which leads me to......


- Kotal Kahn, the current ruler and Emperor of Outworld.
In the years after Shao Kahn dies (while Quan Chi and Shinnok gather the NetherRealm armies, before Quan Chi kills Shinnok), Kotal Kahn takes over Outworld as the new ruler.
He and D'Vorah rule Outworld together, with D'Vorah as his queen (I'm just assuming based off the "Swarm Queen" variation), until Quan Chi invades Outworld.
The Outworld army isn't strong enough to stop Quan Chi, the NetherRealm army and Brotherhood ofShadow, and both Kotal Kahn and D'Vorah are killed in the onslaught.


Anyways, that's all the fan-fic / prediction that I can think of for now.

My fan-fic assumes that Quan Chi is the big bad guy, but I may be COMPLETELY wrong, for all I know. ;)
 
I have a few small predictions.

-Reptile will start in a very devolved reptilian form. Reptile finds a female saurian. Then he reverts back to his human form.

-Kotal Kahn will be like the "Shang Tsung" of the story...being like a temporary boss, til the true big bad is revealed.

-Shinnok will play a heavy role in the story, but not as the big bad.

-Shinnok also sent messages back in time...I think there's a bigger reason behind him sending a "clone" to fight Armageddon for him. why would he do that? If his clone DID win then it wouldn't even matter...Cuz the clone would have defeated Blaze, not Shinnok...
anyway...

-Scorpion and Sub-Zero put aside there differences and fight together

-NO ONAGA!

-Ermac and Cyrax will turn good.

- And with Shao Kahn dead, his helmet can go to it's rightful owner, REIKO.

Agreed.
This exactly is my thinking too, not only as far as Kano is concerned, but other characters who make it on the roster too.

Just because the story spans 25 years, doesn't mean that all the MKX characters on the main roster have to be the year 25 version of that character (maybe with the exception being Johnny and Sonya having an older variation, as has been suggested by Ed).
 
I do think Quan Chi will get killed off and Noob will end up taking over The Brotherhood of the Shadow in the next game. I also think Shinnok will likely be playable or a unplayable sub-boss. I still bet Onaga will return given how Ed Boon said that other people will become Emperor of Outworld over time. I bet Onaga and Kotal Khan will likely duke it out sometime in the story mode.
 
He already said that the events of Deception more than likely wont be happening, and that the One Being will not be making a return.

I also don't see the events of Deadly Alliance really happening, either.

Due to the timeline being skewed, we'll probably see some MK4 related events, then the new story will probably go from there.
 
Assuming the junglr level is indeed related to kotal I can see kotal maybe trying to bring his old civilization back and quan chi bribes him with that very promise to aid the netherealm (even though they'll attempt to kill him to take outworld over) which of course puts him at odds with raiden who is doing what he can to find any form of help
