** STBL ** EXCLUSIVE Mk9 Patch Tweeks/nefs/buffs TONITE!!

Fox is way off though. The fact that not everyone is working on the same thing is not why fixing netcode takes time.

The real reason is simple: Netcode has to be destroyed and reworked from scratch. You can't simply replace one line of code to make lag magically disappear. Anyone who has programmed a game in their life especially related to online can easily understand why something like that takes so long to fix.

Balance changes is just changing the value of a few variables. That can be done in a matter of minutes. Hardcore net coding on the other hand is a lot more complicated.

Thats not what i meant.

I meant that they have different people, and not everyone works in the same field. And that they are realising patches because thats faster, im answering to the guy who said that they are wasting time realising patches because they have to fix online first. And i said that they are working in both things at the same time (online and patches) because they have different employees who works in different fields in the Studios and both are doing their own work, and realising patches doesnt mean they are not working in online fixing.

oh ok gotcha. Yeah some people seem to think that NRS are like an army of super robots that only work on one thing at a time lol. :) Or that all problems can be easily fixed in a single day. Those people have obviously never worked on a game in their life.

Agree 100% and having had psn down makes the process even harder for them not to mention Microsoft and Sony certification takes a while too

MK is still my go to game. Just can't wait till I can't be in a KOH room with all my buddies playing all night long...

boon said they are announcement something at e3 next week. i'm guessing the release date for scarlett and this patch for mid june and maybe a dlc announcement for the future i.e kenshi, something other than a character or costumes. judging by his twitter he seems really excited at next week.

So.... I was whipping ass with Kung Lao last night, but couldn't get more than one jump kick>dive kick in the corner. Was this part of the patch or was my timing just off?

The least they could do is actually fix the connection status being reported falsely by Gamespy, and if anyone sends a challenge your way their connection status is also present visually. In KOTH I've noticed people with 1 green dot, that's sad and the game should off those people with others alike...If it was my game they wouldn't even be able to log in until they can muster a better connection. Something also tells me WB is so cheap they are only using 2 data centres for the entire game, one for NA and one for EU.
