Star Trek!!!

This is interesting...my dad likes star trek. The only one i enjoyed was The next generation. Kumar looks out of place. Plus their uniform colors should be more similar. That chick is pretty hot though.

Kumar isn't in the movie, but Harold is and he plays Sulu.

And as far as him being a Cadet, it makes sense in the movie I'm told. It's setup a certain way to also make sense so Kirk isn't the first captain of the Enterprise because Captain Pike was the original captain of the USS Enterprise.

All I say is don't knock it til you see it, as JJ Abrahms is said to have a great surprise for everyone and it'll make Star Trek more appealing for everyone, more than just Trekkies.

lol, yep definitely agree. Nothing like good oldschool ST with Kirk and Jean Luke=best captains ever.

I also liked the dude from Quantum Leap in the latest one Enterprise for a captain, but I also liked him in QL alot so I might be biased.

Sisko, Odo, and Worf were/are good as well...

It's wierd, I adore Quantum Leap and that actor is perfect for the role. But I'm strangely put off by him as a Star Trek captain...I keep half-expecting him to say "Oh boy" some time during the episode and it never happens...then I cry a little.

The "Oh boy" line was practically Quantum Leap's trademark. I believe he says it at least once in every single episode. Usually at the beginning or end when he leaps to a new time and body.

I think there's like literally a few shows where he doesn't say it, but very, very rare. I tape some of the old re-runs on my DVR, but sometime next year get the seasons. I can't remember which episode per-se but there is one or two where he doesn't say "ohh boy" for a change, but most of the time he does say it at some point lol. Like you said, it was one of their trademark's for sure.

The Enterprise!

It looks updated for current iterizations of special effects technology. I think it should have stayed picture perfect to the original. After all, this is supposed to be when it's first made isn't it? The ship doesn't look any less interesting or mechanically sound than it did however many years ago so why change it. Obviously not for any tangible reason than "it looks prettier now".

The trailer is on the new 007 movie. I was going to wait, but man that trailer rocks. Can't wait to see it on the big screen.

It's taking everything I have to wait until tommorow to watch the trailer. I want to see it on the big screen first.

This movie looks awesome. The casting is more or less spot on. I was alittle iffy about John Cho as Zulu but i'm holding off on any and all judgements till I see the movie. Trek "Purists" should take a chill pill and see how things unfold. Remember it wasn't long ago people were up and arms against Heath Ledger as The Joker. Were are all those folks now?
