Sub-Zero's identity in MKX confirmed!

Re: [SPOILER, RUMOR] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

NRS irritates me a little when it comes to the MK stories. Their loose ends in stories lead to heated debates' amongst they're fan base. If they would cover every detail as best as they could, these situations would be avoided. I hope everything is explained in MKX.

I still want to know which realms have legalized weed. Chaosrealm is an obvious one.

Re: [SPOILER, RUMOR] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

I have another question. Noob Saibot being the original Sub-Zero (Bi Han) was revealed in Noob-Smoke's ending in MKD. This game was released in 2004 while Noob Saibot appeared as a secret character in MKII (1992). Do you think Boon & co. had this idea back in the 90th or did they just think of this possibility just before releasing MKD? I think Noob Saibot was just a palette swap secret character, a shadow ninja with a made up name (Boon and Tobias). This is why Bi Han appears in UMK3 (his bio proves that it's not just a masked version of Sub-Zero. Many fans didn't like the Joaqin Phoenix MK3 version). Noob Saibot appears in UMK3 and MKT, too. Also he is only Ermac's offspring in MK Annihilation (I know, this movie is not canon, but still).

I think they had this idea after releasing MKMSZ. Maybe even later. It made perfect sense since Bi Han died during MK1 while Noob Saibot appeared in MKII. What do you think?

And also, this question has bothered me all the time: Why is Classic Sub-Zero's Spine Rip Fatality censored in UMK3/MKT? It's not more violent than any other fatalities in this game.

Not toddlers? How old do they look here to you?

Again, you need to pay attention and listen.

The video says that they were abducted as children, not toddlers.
That could just as easily be their father carrying them.

These, though, are undeniably children.......

They were toddlers in the picture BBBLP showed, sometimes children can mean toddler can't believe you're fighting over something so stupid.

If I remember right, a fan created the concept for Noob Saibot's backstory and Midway ran with it. I think it was a contest sort of like the MKDA title contest.

So anyway, they didn't have this planned until they were making MKD. It just happened to fit well story wise. (Despite Classic Sub-Zero appearing in UMK3/MKT)

As far as MK3 Sub-Zero, speak for yourself

I didn't say that I don't like this version  I only said that many fans disliked it, it's a fact. It could have been cool to see Sub-Zero leave the Lin Kuei and fight unmasked because of turning Smoke into a cyborg. Too bad they decided to make him a refrigerator. It was the most interesting part of the MK3 part of the story in the original timeline.

Speculation actually began in 97/98. Mythologies explored the Netherrealm (which Noob Saibot was revealed to be native to the year before in Trilogy) and had Shinnok (who Noob was revealed to worship in Trilogy) as the final boss, and even though the Brotherhood of Shadow (which Noob belongs to) was referenced by both Raiden and Quan Chi, Noob himself was missing from the game. When MK4 was ported to home consoles, Noob (added as a home exclusive hidden character after being removed from the arcade version) had Johnny Cage's Torso Rip and Sub-Zero's Deep Freeze fatalities in the N64 port (he had both of Reiko's fatalities in the PC port, and don't remember what he had in the PlayStation port, but i can check that out later). The Deep Freeze fatality was particularly suspicious because the ability to freeze is synonymous with Sub-Zero, and that combined with his Mythologies absence (despite his then-known affiliations being present) was what led to the initial speculation of Noob Saibot's identity. Midway was smart to eventually make that canon.

A toddler is a very young child around the ages from 3 to 5. Then children, pre-teens and so on. But I agree with Rolling_Toaster. This debate about who were toddlers or children isn't a big deal.

I'm done. You are way too stupid for me to waste my time on

Re: [SPOILER, RUMOR] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

Maybe we could just settle with "they were taken when they were young......"
But since the age difference between the 2 is at least 5 or 6 years?
Is it safe to assume that Liang might have been a toddler at the time and NRS just found it easier to say "children"... because they are kids..

I'll settle for that.

It still doesn't say that the Lin Kuei taught them freezing abilities, though.
Just that they taught them how to be assassins.
Freezing powers seem to be as natural to Bi-Han and Kuai-Liang, belonging to the Cryomancer race, as reptilian traits are natural to Reptile, Chameleon, Khameleon and the others of the Saurian race.

Exactly, it's all about the bloodline.
Only thing i disagree with is that you mentioned Chameleon... there no proof what so ever that he is Saurian :P

Re: [SPOILER, RUMOR] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

The proof is with Khameleon..

Khameleon being Saurian = Chameleon being Saurian

Re: [SPOILER, RUMOR] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

Chameleon is not even a true character.

The proof is with Khameleon..

Khameleon being Saurian "doesn't" = Chameleon being Saurian
Had to fix that for you ;)
Just because she exists or has a similar name doesn't mean that they are related in any way at all.

Tarkatan Trash Why isn't he a true character?

Reptil3 it does tho... :wiggle:

No genuine story = not a character.

[...]Freezing powers seem to be as natural to Bi-Han and Kuai-Liang, belonging to the Cryomancer race [...].

And before someone says "Shujinko was taught to freez...", he had the ability to learn other's powers. Also, if the Lin Kuei were only made by cryomancers, funny how Sektor (son of the Grandmaster), Cyrax, Smoke and any other aren't exceptions.
