SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

Maybe Kotal is like Damashi? Didn't they say before that Kano betrayed Kotal Kahn?
So maybe Kotal had Kano steal the dagger from the Red Dragon. And I guess it's possible that Kotal could possess Fox.


Who knows. Hopefully this "Amazing" video comes out soon to make the wait for the comic easier :laugh:
 
MKX Issue 1 Chapter 1 Review:
- Kenshi having a kid and being undercover in the Red Dragon.
- Hsu Hao and the Red Dragon hunting Kenshi
- Scorpion appears and kills Hsu Hao (Ironic Ed Boons favorite character & least favorite character faced off. No brainer!!!)
- Scorpion has rebuilt the the Shirai Ryu & has taken Takeda (Kenshi's Son) as an apprentice

- Red Dragon Fortress is attacked
- Sub-Zero is revealed to be the attacker (assumed to be Kuai Liang)
- On a mission for Raiden in stealing a Dagger (A new Kamidogu)
- Is ambushed by an unknown attacker...
- Kano is revealed to be the attacker as he gives Sub Zero a notifiable scar
- Kano reveals the Kamidagu is cursed and Sub Zero's eyes turn red.

I for one was very impressed with the approach the comic debuted. The new stories have my attention.
Right now i think the headline is Scorpion/Hanzo being able to control is Demon/Spectre self which is why he is able to what seems to control his appearance.
Anyway i can't wait for the other chapters & issue.

I don't think so (could be, but I don't think), it seems Kotal can...manage this power.

Like he will use that to avenge his comrade.

Also, when Raiden mentioned demon, I didn't felt so sure that he was being literally.

Sounded to me like "evil being alien to this realm".

Edit: I don't feel like it's Kotal because of his intros. He didn't sound like a guy who would say PEEL YOURSELF FLESH IS A LIEEEEE.

Anyway, if he is a blood god, well...it would satisfy him a lot.
 
Yea this force has something to do with Kotal...he has this obsession with blood and cutting himself.

No, next issue is the conclusion to this story. It even said so at the end. Chapter 4 is when Cassie shows up.

Or is Kotal a minion to it? I'm thinking that it's some being we haven't been introduced to yet. The second chapter had a good storyline with the two apprentices but was ridiculously short. Very disappointed on that end. I do like the direction that they are taking all of these characters though. Takeda is going to make for a badass character and Fox could actually be an interesting villain. I hope he keeps that new look.
 
I don't think the demon is Quan Chi or Shinnok. The first issue mention the Netherrealm invasion happening earlier, so I think the MK4 storyline in MKX already happen and got done and over with early on in the game. I'm hoping that this demon is Kotal Kahn or a new original character.

As for Issue #2, not bad at all. I like a lot of the build up and I'm starting to like Scorpion much more now then I did in MK9.

Man Hanzo just cant catch a break, he finally rebuilds his clan and BOOM one of his own clansmen gets possessed and massacres the other members...

Not sure who I think the demon is. He could possibly be linked to Kotal since we have seen him cut himself, we also have seen him cut out a heart and squeeze the blood out onto his face, but I do not think he goes to the lengths Fox did (cutting off his own face) so its tough to say.

Anyway if Fox is in the game, I hope we get to play as the messed up/"demon" version for one of his variations lol

Lastly, its probably safe to assume the raging Scorpion we all know will be back, especially after what we recently saw, I just hope it isn't permanent because I love what they have done with him so far in the comics. Scorpion is my favorite character so ill like him either way, but I enjoyed seeing this different side of him in the comics. Kenshi did say "Hanzo conquered Scorpion years ago" so I have hope that no matter how pissed off and hellbent on revenge he gets after this, that he will overcome it once again.

I think Scorpion will figure out a way to avoid possessed Fox and Taked will be his "side kick".

Then they will confront Raiden.

But take a look on DC Comics descriptions.

All of them imply a confront between Raiden and Scorpion (even on the cover).

Probally Scorpion will think "WHY THE HELL DID YOU BRING THIS CURSED KNIFE TO MY PEACEFUL CLAN? YOU JUST DO BS RAIDEN I'M GOING TO KICK YOUR 455".
