Select screen official music

wow thx man, U have no idea how many times i played that stream over and over just to listen to it lol. I wonder how this person got it... It does sound a little different from the stream.... Wait nvm lol 2:29 is def from the stream its legit :).. So glad it isnt some shitty music like from MKA and MK9
 
i know right, the post mk4 games music have sucked, its soooo try hard tough guy metal or crappy techno, this shit rocks!
 
I like it, but I like the intro synth notes of the MK videos better. To me, this just doesn't have a hook. It's good music, but I still don't hear a theme or recognizable pattern that sticks with you. That's what makes a great select track, in my opinion.

true, What did you think o the main menu music and look? i think it was pretty dark looking and the music was as well, Even MKSM had a pretty dark looking menu
 
This is freaking amazing! I can't believe this is the character select song, it sounds like the final battle song!

This only says Sound Track. It don't believe this is the select screen music. I can't be, its long and wouldn't make sense. Select screen music is short and loops like it has in evey MK game.

I'm assuming this is music for the story mode which is pretty impressive in my opinion. Feels like a movie track.

Well this is the music from the stream so it's real. Maybe it doesn't start off the way it starts in the youtube video. Also MK4 theme is cool but this is 2014 of course they can't make it sound like classic music again... It wouldn't fit
 
Well I am glad it isnt heavy metal. Most video games with a heavy metal soundtrack come across as cheesy to me, and dance type music suits lighter games like Tekken or SF.

The music for MKX sounds good but like redzone said, it doesnt have a hook to make it distinguishable, unlike MK2 which had catchy and good recognizable music

Good, but incredibly dated and the MIDI instrument chosen for the lead melody sounds RIDICULOUSLY cheesy.

I'm going to create my own version of it by hand and post it on here, just for jollies.
