Say YES/NO to MK characters coming back

Damn I missed Cyrax. Oh well, you guys know how I feel about him. stupid fcking jax clone piece of crap should never be in a fighting game again.

No for Daegon.

Definately a NO!

There is nothing interesting about this character, a rushed character with generic fire abilities created for the purposes of a rushed story mode.

Besides the fact that he is the leader of the Red Dragon Clan. "Killed" a god, and works for Shinnok.

I'm in the same boat as Noob-Zer013. Only way he could be in the story is if Shinnok requested help which is very unlikely. No for Daegon.

No. I'd rather Taven and Daegon were killed and that whole Red Dragon storyline never takes place. I feel like they don't plan on having them in this game because no Mavado probably means no Red Dragon.

The fact that they wrote a nice story for him does not justify the poor execution. As a fighter, he was clearly rushed and his moves are very uninspired.

This is true. Some have potential, some don't. Wonder how they could sort out the Daegon issue and not include him though.

Well we did just fine without him in the original MK4 timeline :D
They do not necessarily have to scrap him or the Red Dragon - what they can do is just not show him in the game.
I would not really care if he made a cameo in the story mode like Motaro in MK9, but somehow I think the MK team just wants to "forget" about certain characters and move on.

It's very easy... Don't include him. End of story. The new timeline isn't even heading in that direction anymore.

Easy. Shinnok thought that he'd have an easy take over so he never requests Daegon's help. Works in both timelines.

Also just because he wasn't executed correctly the first time doesn't mean he can't be at all.

He's a poor character both in story and gameplay. They're better off designing a new character rather than trying to "fix" a terrible one.

I believe that ANY character can be transformed into something decent if done right, but in case of Daegon, there is so little to work it that it is simply not worth it. It is honestly better to just introduce brand new characters than bringing Daegon back.

There really isn't any reason for him to exist anymore. Now that the timeline has been altered, many factors could potentially be affected. A possible one is this; with Shao Kahn's death, why would there be any reason for Blaze to be captured to guard the Dragon Egg? With that said, Caro wouldn't have lost contact with Blaze and awoken Daegon early by mistake, leading to his corruption. Therefore, the Red Dragon would never be born.

Btw, since its the Weekend, I'll start the next round Monday at some point.

I'm pretty sure the Red Dragon predated MK3. Daegon himself said "I created the Red Dragon ages ago" and he aged that is extremely long if we are going by an Edenian's standards. Probably more than our tiny lifespan.

Yeah, still need more time for more votes though, and since its the weekend, I wanna give more time. That way, people have less of a chance of missing out, like Reaver did on Cyrax.
I understand. The reason why I asked is so I can know who to expect next, but two days isn't that long of a wait.

Yes, only because I'm interested in seeing what Netherealm could do with him, to make him better. Also I think people are forgetting he was in mk9. NetherRealm Studios must have something planned for the Red Dragon.

A lot of the 3D era characters showed up as little easter eggs. I don't think they were anything but that. But who knows....

Nah. I never found Taven or Daegon to be that interesting. I dont see a reason for Daegon to appear in MKX anyway.
