Rumor: Warner Bros. Mulling a Batman Beyond Live-Action Movie

Warner Bros., which had previously had a live-action Batman Beyond movie in development before going with Christopher Nolan's Batman reboot, is now said to be kicking around resurrecting their feature film adaptation of the animated TV series.

(In case you somehow forgot, the animated series saw an aging Bruce Wayne train his successor, 17-year-old high-school student Terry McGinnis, to protect Gotham City in the 21st century.)

Batman-on-Film claims that such a movie is back "on the table" and that it would have nothing to do with the Nolan Batman universe, which is now done for good.



What would a Batman Beyond film mean for what if any plans Warner Bros. might have for a larger DC universe on the big screen? As BoF suggests, the "'in his prime' Bruce Wayne Batman could potentially be in a team-up film, while the aged and retired Bruce Wayne Batman would be the version of the same character in the Beyond solo films. Think 'non-linear' -- same Batman, different time periods."

They should tie it into the current Batman movies. All these superhero reboot movies are getting old now.

The Joker Batman Beyond episode was a good watch, and it would be cool if they were able to tie Heath Ledger's Joker character in the new movie like they did in the cartoon.

no hell no. not everything needs to be 100% realistic. imo i say if they do this movie give it the blade runner/total recall futuristic feel

and if you think about it it is futuristic since its like what 60 years after the original batman
 
if i was casting id do the following

michael keaton for old bruce wayne


andrew garfield for terry

emilia clark for dana tan

benedict cumberbatch as meltdown
 
I don't think Andrew Gardfield can do Batman Beyond cause he's already Spiderman lol.

I think they should get a new actor to sort of resemble Terry from the show.
Also fvck Dana, just personal opinion not bringing anybody down but I hate her.

If anything I would like to see Inque and the creation of Blight like it did in the show.
 
Batman Beyond was one of my favorite Batman cartoons and I saw a few people talking about a Batman Beyond live action film a few days ago. This would indeed be awesome if this happens.

I do wish WB/DC would do other movies besides Superman and Batman movies. We need a Flash movie and a Justice League movie.

....Flash is too damn funny not to have his own movie or his own animated series.

id like to see zack snyder tackle flash. id also like ben browder to play the role of barry allan as well

if you dont know who ben browder is go watch farscape and stargate sg1

just saying andrew garfield isnt exclusivley to sony so and if the money is right he could jump ship

personally i didnt like amazing spiderman simply for the story. the cast was fine no complaints in that department but the film didnt feel like a spidey film to me
