Roster Speculation

You know... this is funny.

Last night I had a dream with Ed. We were sitting in front of an old cabinet (it wasn't MK) and talking. I brought up Goro and asked him if he's going to be in Story Mode and if he'll still be a sub-boss. Ed talked to someone on the phone and when he got back to me to answer my question I woke up. I was so pissed LOL!

That's what I think. Unlike the MK9 DLC, Goro is a pre-order DLC bonus. The characters for the DLC for MK9 were created after the story mode was completed. Goro was likely plan to be a pre-order bonus from the start.
 
Goddamn so the whole MK 1 roster has been announced, except Kang, & sonya/Cage (though Cassie kinda makes up for that)

I've got the weirdest feeling Shang Tsung is going to be shown next... Could this be the way they are going to announce characters?! Would be awesome imho.

Goro looks really awesome, I'm happy with his design, and I'm also confident that he'll look like 99,99% the same ingame!
 
Reptile and Shang Tsung have not been announced yet. It seems like what happen to Shang Tsung is still debatable by fans today. John Vogel seem to hinted that Shang Tsung is not gone for good. I don't see him making the cut though seeing that Quan Chi is likely to replace him in MKX
 
Yeah, that's what I thought. Maybe they start "next gen" of fighters starting with the first characters of all the series.

But I do hope Shang Tsung does'nt make the cut. Love him, but STOP NON CANON HOLOCAUST.

Where the hell did Vogel has taken the idea of Shang Tsung not dying... Shang even disappeared!

I wouldn't bother if that didn't happen. And we can say that wasn't necessary, c'mon, Shao Kahn has enough souls to do that.

But it seems the klassic ones (and I don't exclude Ermac) may be the ones who will witness the new generation of fighters.

Hmm yes, what I have been thinking about though, its the "Final boss will be a surpise returning character" what Ed said, what if it is really Shang wangadangdingdong Tsung?? WOooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaA

If Shang Tsung is the boss, I will unleash my burning rage on this forum and make you all suffer for Ed's sins.
 
Shang wouldn't be a surprise. He's a been a boss many times before.


Liu Kang is the widely speculated boss of MKX. 2 different endings in MK9 showed him coming back as a vengeful god of fire.
 
If it follows MK9's ending at all then it will be Shinnok. And Quan Chi will be in the game too. I really hope not though. And no for Shang Tsung too.
 
I think Shang Tsung will most likely have a cameo. I remember in the original timeline, Shang Tsung had Shao Kahn make him a new body after he died from Raiden's blast during the start of MKD. Maybe someone like Kotal Kahn or Shinnok will create Shang Tsung a new body.
 
Listen I cant qoute all of you dudes and dudettes, but don't forget Ed aka trollmaster2k4 said i quote "A returning boss character"

So in my guess it cant be kang, because he's never been a boss, but none the less I kinda agree with all of you, also @ Matt, you should really explode in fury if you find out Jax is the final boss, and the toasty man was a lie all along.

If Jax is in the game at all, I will be furious. lol There's no good reason for him to come back.
 
I Think Onaga may be the final boss where as Shinnok may be like a "half-time boss". From what NR did with MK9 I'd assume they would want the big bad to be just that and not a playable character. This is of course assuming Shinnok will be playable.

You must not have been following this game. The story takes place over the span of 25 years.
So if Shinnok is in at all, he'll just be a quick beginning game antagonist.

Many things contradict Onaga's rebirth. Namely Cyrax still being evil and Jax being dead. I doubt we'll be seeing him again.

When asked about the "Big Bad" he simply said a "Surprise returning character". He never said returning boss character.
