Roster Speculation

Quan Chi is by far the most badass villain in the history of MK. He should be the final boss.

Ed Boon said the final boss would be a surprise returning character. Having Quan Chi betray Shinnok and becoming the final boss would be too obvious.
 
I don't think its THAT obvious. No one said anything about it. Everyone thinks it'll be liu kang. Although Quan chi was a boss before with shang tsung, now that he's "dead" they can make him a boss, a real boss none of that SF Mbison bullshit like they did in deadly alliance. I don't like playable bosses.

He might be in the story. Since he's being created before the game actually comes out.
Skarlett, though she didn't have a role, did appear in the background of the Coliseum.

Completely dismissing the idea of him being a Sub-Boss again like in MK1, MK4, MK9 and that the DLC allows you to play as him despite that.

You've no idea if he'll be in the story or not, neither do I.
But the fact that he is being created as the story mode is being crafted, makes it possible for him to appear.

Whereas Rain and Kenshi were made after MK9's story mode was completed.

Yea i get what your saying but what about people who choose not to pre-order? Lets say he is in story mode... will it just skip over the part where goro is involved and if that's the case will it mention what happened?
I just can't see him in story mode purely for that fact that those who choose not to pre-order the story mode will be missing missing a chunk... Unless they pull some sort of south park stick of truth thing.
(the censored australian version, if you've seen it you know what i'm talking about lol)
 
I mean he'll be in the story as either an enemy, or a story piece.
I could see him having a cameo during one of the flashbacks showing what life was like in Outworld after Kahn died.

Did you not play MK9.

He was in MK9, too, you couldnt play as him, but he was. And he was in the story mode.

What arent you getting about this.

I think you guys are really over thinking this thing..

-Goro is in story mode

-preorder and you get to use him online and offline before they release him for everyone to use.. End of story.

He might not even make an appearance. Everyone is just speculating. I don't see him being playable in story mode but they might. Nobody knows accept Ed and god knows he won't give us a straight answer this early
