haha. Well I don't know if he's playable or not. There are characters that I put up on there that I also don't know if they are playable, but I think that they will be. like Shinnok.

Maybe there will be another row? Liu Kang, Rain, Fujin, Jason, three other DLC slots.

Shinnok has an alt and a variation
Mileena was shown in action
Johnny and sonya were just confirmed
Jax was leaked as playable.
Kenshi is playable
Erron was leaked doing a brutality to cassie
These were all the characters we werent sure about until recently that leaves 1 renegade shaolin monk
 
Goro probably won't be on main roster as he's technically a DLC character, but you get him free if you pre-order. People who don't will have to buy him, though, as you would other DLC stuff. Bear in mind that NRS re-jig the roster screen as they officially reveal new characters, and that includes putting existing characters in different slots. I think they just had Goro there to show him on the roster (as he'd been revealed) but I very much doubt he'll be there by default in the launch version.
 
Incidentally, it seems there are achievements for unlocking both 50% and 100% of story mode, and so I'd guess at there being at least two unlockable characters, as we got with MK9.
 
Unlockables can easily get another slot added. Regardless, Goro is DLC and not on the main roster. That is why they took him out during the last stream.There's still possible one spot left if Liu Kang or Shinnok is an unlockable boss who are also not on the main roster (boss that is :). I hope Baraka is that last one. Also roster screen is not final, NRS has clearly stated on 2 separate occasions that they will try to get as many developer favourites in as possible and squeeze in as many characters as they can before release. If Baraka is in, I have no doubt he's a late addition since he will probably only be fought once in the Kove and only present during Mileena's arc of the story.

That leak is from a while ago, NRS was still developing the game and adding characters, so they could've easily added a few more. Recent quotes by people who played the game said there was at least one character they didn't recognise and was unannounced.

Not really it was like 1 or 2 weeks before the story trailer dropped if i remember correctly. It revealed kung jin as the bow weilding character. Then when the story trailer dropped that proved to be correct. In that time frame the game was already close to being finalized. All they were doing til that point is fixing bugs and tweaking the game aesthetics and touching up characters for the game to be submitted. Im not saying you're wrong but

Maybe,but after all the leaks (Kenshi,Erron Black,Shinnok,Jax being playable) we now for sure that all these characters are in and playable.

That still left them with over a month to finish some characters and squeeze them in, they said DLC are still in development as well so. We are all speculating and fact is that we don't know other than the guy who leaked the roster has been right so far and let's be honest: it wasn't that hard to predict that.

No but we still had no idea what kung jin looked like either. We thought that was someone similar in appearence to kotal. You dont just guess that. He KNEW. Up until that poimt we didnt know who would live or die in the comics when i came to takeda and jacqui. More so jacqui
