I might have enjoyed it with a co-op partner, but playing it solo sucked. And to me the game was just awful. My friend who I got into RE back in 5th grade, we both played it at Midnight and later that day we both talked and agreed it wasn't good and he even co-oped it with another friend of ours.

It did nothing for the RE story, the gameplay sucked, the skills were dumb as shit, I hated the inventory system, the enemies weren't appealing at all (though the same is said for RE5 in that aspect), and it's so fvcking dumb how we fight the same boss fight about 10 times a piece. How many times did you fight that guy in Leon's campaign. Seriously, about 6 times. That's 5 times too fvcking many. Same goes for the huge dude in Jake and Sherry's story.

That was random conversations though. Pretty sure Jade wouldn't mind a serious convo like this.

What guy? Simmons? Well, he kinda was the cause of all it. I liked Ada's and Leon's campaigns solo, and they're even better coop.

Ustanak was supposed to keep pursuing you. They wanted the same feel as Nemesis, but of course could not be obtained because RE6 did not have a dark and grisly atmosphere like RE3 had.

The skills system was not necessary, but fine to me. It actually does well in mercs and versus.

I'm in love with the game. My favorite RE is still RE2 to this day, but RE6 was a HUGE improvement after the turd that was RE5.

Yeah, Simmons. Wesker was the main villain in the RE series and you know how many times we fought Wesker? 3 times. 1 with Jill, 2 outside the aircraft and 3 in the volcano. Not including the QTE fight.

We didn't need to fight him when he was that huge dumb Fly. That shit was DUMB.

Ustanak was a shitty version of Nemesis. Obviously they're running out of ideas for enemies when they are re-creating Nemesis and re-using the El Gigante in RE5 and RE6. Only in RE6 did they really change the look to it, but the main basis idea is still there. A huge troll with his weakness on his back.

The skills being put in for Mercs or Versus is completely fine and understandable. But it's dumb as fvck to add it into the main story mode. RE5 was miles better in story wise and was way more enjoyable.

I liked it, thought it was great. my friend and I who both played RE's since the first one on PS1 both agree it's pretty damn good.

It humanized chris more imo, introduce Piers and I thought I was gonna hate him, but ended up respecting him hard.

Introduction of Jake, means Jake has the blood if he injects himself like Wesker did he could get really strong. Neo Umbrella has his anti-bodies. which advances the story.

Leon/Ada advanced a tiny bit. Introduced the new enemy as "The Family" along side Neo-Umbrella

The way you fight simmons everytime is completely different. So it doesn't feel like a repeat boss fight to me.

I agree that the boss fight could've been done more difficult. Jake and Sherry's story, he had a different weapon everytime. But He still moved around the same in general. So I guess I can see your gripe.

It's not everyone's game. oh well.

dunno why you came in here to express all that, when I really feel like you already have.

I brought my reply in here because we were talking about it in the Cosplay thread and we were getting off topic. That's why I brought it in here.

Yeah, I've been a fan since the beginning too along with a few other of my friends and we all agreed it was shit.

RE5 was not as good as RE6, in terms of campaign, lol.

I don't get how you can't appreciate Capcom trying to make Leon's campaign more old-school, compared to fighting African military dudes in pure daylight in Re5.

The fly version of Simmons was dumb, but they needed to make the venture to the Helicopter have something. You knew it wasn't over after Ada dumped him off the building.

Ustanak wasn't great, but he wasn't shitty. He was alright, and the Ogromen were significantly different from the Gigante, on how they moved and attacked, so it didn't feel recycled.

I know, I was just pointing out, a group of friends doesn't equate to making an opinion more legit.

I have 1 friend who's into RE in RL who found it mediocre, enjoyed playing with me. But he sold it once he was done.

I like this one the most. and it's MOSTLY

because of the combat system
and the new Multiplayers coming out.

I did enjoy the story. but I'm also a Resident Evil masochist.

Lets be serious here... I semi enjoyed RE:ORC.

ORC campaign was a disgrace. I'd never play through it a second time, not even for an achievement, lol

Multiplayer is awesome though. Still play it today.

The zombies in that game just made it lame to me. I liked the PvP combat of multiplayer.

I just commissioned an artist on DeviantArt that I'm familiar with, to draw RE6 Ada.

I'll link it here when it's done.

RE5 was a million times better in terms of campaign. You finally got to see Spenser and the showdown with Wesker was finally happening.
All RE6 do was add in ANOTHER corporation after we have so many anyways (Umbrella, Tricell, Neo-Umbrella, Wilpharma corp) and make another bad guy. Carla, in which her boss fight with the giant blob is probably the lamest boss fight in any RE game. Even the fat tyrant in Dead Aim is less lame than Carla's blob.

Adding in zombies isn't going to make me just automatically like Leon's campaign. I really do think that people just like Leon's campaign in RE6 because they put zombies in there.

DOOD THEY BROUGHT BACK ZOMBIES IN RE6!

Yeah... 1 out of 3 campaigns have zombies and like I said, zombies does not equal good.

Zombies equaled good to me, since it made the entire campaign awesome except the catacombs part which felt too dragged out.

RE5 really did provide only that. Lost In Nightmares was cool, but Desperate Escape provided only fun for 1 playthrough.

And in the campaign, I only liked to replay the battles with Wesker and Jill. Everything else was garbage.

Viking poodle was so right about the AI lol.

I know many places where you can trap hunters cuz they can't pathfind for shit.

and kill them with pistol shots lol.

And idiot teamates. you know how many times I made a zombie our teamate? and my teamates attack it >.>;

anyways.

RE6 No Hope mode...

is really fun.

Really low ammo, one hit takes off like 3 bars.

If you're at 1 bar. and they hit you. YOU WILL DIE w/o even falling to the floor for dying status.

when you die and continue.

you don't get your HP back.

Dying status is so dumb in versus mode. The recovery time on dying is way too long, so you don't even get an opportunity to shoot back.

I also don't like that you can't change weapons, so you can only heal yourself with a first aid when you're in dying status...if it was in your hand when you died >.>

...wut

lol, couldn't you strategize that though?

like get in a fight with someone. Purposely get hit into dying status (hopefully by baiting their bullets) aid spray instantly. Get up. you're full health. He's not and is low on ammo.

Cuz I mean when you die do you lose the aid spray anyways?

There are no first aid sprays in survivors.

I was referring to Mercs and Campaign.

There's VERY limited health in survivors.

Like only 1 green and 1 red herb on each map.

ok, then yeah. that idea is a waste, because that would only be a good idea in Survivors if that was a option.

otherwise yeah, I've never had my aid spray out while dying yet.

I only had it once on Mining the Depths.

I was like "****, I'm dying! Huh? KEWL!"

Lol you just spray yourself and get back up.

Once you're down in Survivors, you're dead. Unless it's team, you MIGHT have a chance if your teammate blows away your attacker with a shotgun or something.

You have such little health when you're down, that you can slide into someone to finish them off.

My friend goes "HOME RUUUUN!" whenever he kills someone like that

lol, not gonna lie, Survivors is gonna sound gay at first.

Any advice for us PS3 guys that get the game late for those 3 modes?

some tricks I can use for predator/onslaught/Suvivors

Are we getting 3 more DLC modes btw?

I remember there being liek Seige mode.

I don't believe so.

Predator

For Predator, Shooting Wild is a great skill. Ustanak is so fat, that if you don't get a hit at medium to close range, you're an idiot. Shooting Wild provides you with no disadvantages, and the boost in power. Magnums you pick up from the map do some serious work with shooting wild on.

When playing as Ustanak, you need to use a hit-and-run technique. If the survivors group up on you, the predator becomes the prey. Vital got dropped in like 15 seconds when he was first Ustanak because he kept staying around the survivors.

Don't use the Ustanak's physical attacks. They're terrible, along with his grab claw thing where it shoots out. Just use his shoulder charge to plow through groups, and the close range grab is a guaranteed grab, at very close range, unless they might dodge roll it. Might.

Don't use Ustanak's grenades at close range. When he does the attack, it's so obvious, it's not even funny, so the agents can just casually walk out of the way, avoiding the attack, costing you physical stamina. Use grenades to intimidate. If two agents are down, and you see others going to heal them, I like to use grenades to keep them away, possible dealing slight damage.

Edit:

When you have someone in your hand as Ustanak, throw them at another player. If they're smart, they'll roll out of the way.

If not, they get knocked down, then you can grab them putting them into dying status.

The grab automatically puts anyone into dying status.

The Ustanak roar is great because while it does cost stamina, it shows everyone's position. It's good if you can't locate those last few survivors and you don't want to give them a chance to heal others.

Onslaught

I don't really have tips for this mode, lol it's all pretty much common sense. Use firefighters and barrels to extend your combo and such.

Only thing you have to worry about is the damage mutilplier, which increases with melee kills, going to a maximum of 300%, which you'll need against those large groups

Survivors

Be familiar with weapon spawns, since they really change the tide of battle. One grenade launcher, RPG hit, or grenade launcher hit can **** you over.

Always watch your back, especially when there are players playing as zombies. So also, keep moving, don't stop. You can be fighting a human agent, and a human zombie will grab you from behind, making you lose.

If you're a zombie, staying alive is your priority, but only be a dick to an extent. If you're last alive team member is dying, try and kill them yourself, so you can return to the living. Why? It's better than losing the match!

Well timed attacks with zombies and J'avo can really mess people up. I learned this recently from my friend who has like almost 100 wins in Survivors. You can easily corner someone as a J'avo, and unless they pistol quick-shot you or counter you, they're done.

Never take on more than one person at a time, unless you have a powerful weapon. You won't win, lol trust me. It's not like Gears of War where you can instant-kill people. You'll get double-teamed, and it's over.

Quick-shooting techniques with snipers and shotguns can rape the competition, especially if they don't expect it.

Make use of the turrets on Requiem for War in team versus. Have some dude act as bait, and mow down the dudes chasing him/her.

Make sure you're stocked up on ammo. You won't survive off melee, unless you're really good with Jake or something. Ammo can be dropped by killed zombies.

thanks I imagine Onlsaught isn't about time bonuses from melee's

So no reason to melee REALLY right? unless your conserving ammo.

otherwise killing them all ASAP is the best way right? If I can send 30 dudes to him twice, by the time he's on his 10th guy after his first wave. I'm making things alot tougher right?
