Reptile confirmed out by Ed Boon

Not all the good guys are boring, people like Cage, Jax, Sonya I can see that but not Raiden and definitely not Sub, Ermac, Smoke, Fujin. But they won't get in with the exception of Sub already in there obviously.

To me the villians, most are dull because they're predictable. They want to kill everyone and control everything..wow there's a shocker lol. Thing about the good guys over time is that all are different and go about it their own way, example? Cage as oppose to say Sub or Ermac or Liu Kang. While the bad guys IMO are all pawns of Kahn or Darkseid or someone for the most part.

True, but it will get old fast to fight good guy versus good guy.

Heroes are always all on the same side where villains are always against the heroes and each other, which makes them more unique.

Sonya vs. Jax

or

Kahn vs. Shang Tsung

This game has 80% heroes so far and it will get boring fast. I expect all the remaining characters to be villains.


Which one seems more interesting and any pair can be made with and heroes or villains.

All bad guys are interesting where as only some good guys are. Fans like villains and this game is severely lacking that department.

But good guys don't fight each other unless there's a real problem in most series or unless someone betrays another good guy. They might disagree but won't fight, Villians will always stab each other in the back once they're done benefiting themselves from "any kind of alliance" example look at Shang and Quan or Kahn and Shang etc

I don't think it'll be boring because we really don't know much about the storyline, chances are even thought there are less villians chances are they'll be characters with lots of power that will take good guys of both sides to team up. Darkseid, DD and Kahn and Shang combined are pretty damn powerful even for Supes, Raiden etc
 
The trick with this game is good guys CAN fight good guys because the MK and DC universe characters will see each other as opponents regardless of their alignments in their own stories (plus there's the whole RAGE thing). But from the perspective of the players, WE know who the good guys are and WE want to fight some bad guys. So whether it fits with the story or not, it doesn't really matter, all that matters is that we the players want to act out some of our favorite battles and most of the time that works out to be "good guy X facing bad guy Y". You see?

That's going to happen anyway(at first) due to the crossover but I'm speaking in terms of storyline, Boon already hinted at the fact of the good guys from both sides having to join forces......

Some fans have to understand that they're picking the most "iconic" and well known characters from both sides, despite whether or not they're heroes or villians....that's why chances are you won't see lobo or mr. feeze or Onaga, Blaze, Motaro etc. They're cool characters but NOT iconic enough to get in this game, same with the heroes of both MK and DC. That's why most already are iconic in that "classic" sense. Yeah, I'd like certain MK characters in the game too it doesn't mean it's going to happen though...
 
I would've thought Reptile iconic though. I think Goro would be in on that basis, but he did dissappear between MK1 and 4.
 
Reptile from a classic point of view is iconic but so are other ninjas really except for Chameleon, Rain. I think they wanted the "least" amount of ninja characters in this game since they already have Sub and Scorp.

Goro although one of the iconic "sub-bosses" just wouldn't fit in a game like this I don't think, that's most likely why he's not in it or looking that way anyway
