With the name Flagg you better mention The Stand and Dark Tower lol

Here's a reading suggestion for you guys: C.S. Lewis' Space Trilogy

the titles are, in this order:

Out of the Silent Planet
Perelandra
That Hideous Strength

Greatest thing I've ever read. I suppose it's not for everyone, but give it a try.

The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury

Actually it's an anthology of short stories. Most stories in the collection are consistent, but you find a couple of stories that are added or removed with edition. "The Last Night of the World" was unique take on the apocalyptic themes in other works of fiction, but it was rather dull read as their was no conflict and the rather dialogue-heavy which is not Bradbury's forte. "The Veldt" his strongest work. It's a chilling tale of our dependence and misuse of technology, and is relevant to this day.

BIOS by Robert Charles Wilson

The first half was promising, but it fizzled afterward. The author went at lengths to describe the social hierarchy that didn't go anywhere, not much in the way of character development, and I felt not much was learned about the alien planet they supposed to explore.

Hugo goes into depth with EVERYTHING in that book. At one point near the beginning he even gives a breakdown of the bishop's finances. Unlike with most things, I actually WOULDN'T recommend anyone read the full version before seeing the musical or perhaps the 1998 non-musical film adaptation starring Liam Neeson. It would just be too hard to get into if you don't already like the story.

Liam Neeson's adaptation was the best one. I saw it after I saw Taken, and it was like, dad from Taken warped back to the French Revolution lmao.

Anyone hear anything about that Jonathan Safran Foer guy? His books are all over the place and yuppies are all about him. I read the first few pages of Everything is Illuminated and really don't see what the fuss is about. Guess some writers have you at the first page.

Try some of Terry Goodkind's stuff. Going through the audio books on my way to work and it's ****ing stellar, IMO.
