Random character select

Just wondering how many of you use this when select character?...or how many times your opponent have used? I usually use this when i play in ranked and i see that opponent cant be so strong.Good way to practise other characters.Ofcourse you cant never know and your opponent can beat you very quickly...
 
I use it when the opponent isn't that good. Although I don't know if I'm giving them a chance, or just humliating them further by choosing a random character. But, I do it for myself so I don't get bored :)
Also, if the opponent IS good I'll still random select when I'm tired of playing the same characters against him. My w/l ratio sucks because of this, but I don't care lol :D

They'd have to be pretty bad for me to be able to beat them with Shang Tsung though lol.

I use the invisible cursor whenever the other guy is obviously waiting for me to pick a character first. Imo the whole choosing the right matchup thing is ******** (really? I can't say that? In a MK forum?? Well, I wanted to say it's... useless) so I'm happy I can skip that part of the character select by not letting them know who I'm using. And no, I don't base my decision for who I use on what they pick either. Sometimes the guy turns out to be a Raiden spammer who doesn't want me to pick a character who can punish him easily. :/
 
I always do it when I pick Noob Saibot, Every person and their dog counter picks me with smoke. I've been counter picked so much.. that I know the noob/smoke match-up pretty good.

Hidden select. I always use it.

I use random select to humiliate people. I'm decent with quite a few characters also. But something that a lot of people don't know is if you select random select with the start button it picks a random character and goes to the costume selector for them.
 
I like using it whenever Im in King of the Hill or in Player Matches. It helps make the match funner for me plus it good for getting acclimated with other characters.
 
I often ask for random matches in chat...if someone challenges me after, doesn't matter the stats, I accept and we often have many random (and funny) games :).
Sometimes happens that the funny guy selects his main after I select random, but I don't really care...*******s are everywhere.

I don't care about being a prick to people online because not a single person is ever nice to me. But one time I accepted a random select challenge and trolled him. He did a count down so we would random at the same time and I went like half of a second early then backed out and picked Cyrax, and he got Sheeva. I was loling the whole match. He said I only won because I picked my main, so I gave him a rematch. We both random selected and I got Stryker, and he got Kabal. I also put in the code to give myself 50% health and I still beat him.

That's very wrong...even if the other players are not nice to you, you should still be nice to them.
Being a dick online is not funny at all.
 
@immortal: that kind of thinking is the reason no one is ever nice to you. If you can't beat them you stoop to their level. way to become what you dislike.

Ive bet you've been a dick to someone who woulda been nice to you but since you were being a dick he was one back.
