Re: Rain trailer this weekend?

I so can't wait to see Rain!

In this technology, after seeing Kenshi, I know Rain will blow away our minds!

Yeah, those plates on his hips through me off at first too. I do like the whole blend of ninja practicality and ornate flourishes, it fits the best of both worlds.

looks nothing like his shadow at all,
maybe that shadow was actually the 4th character, but they put the word RAIN underneath it to mess with people

the shadow had a long headband kinda like kenshi, maybe It was.....cyber smoke and the headband was his hair?

Agreed. He's a lot more detailed than before, and this is only his third new appearance, so it might take some getting used to for some people. Sure, he's a ninja, but he's also Edenian (and I imagine he's a pretty pompous jackass too), so it makes a ton of sense to have a more lavish style of dressing.

not sure.. my take on this is that it's either a brand new character or a guest character actually. I can see from your avatar why you want to hope for cyber Smoke so badly :P don't get me wrong, I wanna get my hands on him too and different than human Smoke moves-wise and not him just being an alternate costume or human Smoke basically with slight adjustments. I think we'll be getting him in their fall programme though, not as the 4th character

I've been hoping for a costume and personality like that since the I joined TRMK and heard about all the "Rain as DLC" noise. I'm really glad to see him coming together. =)

Yeah, and what's even more exciting is that we have less than 2 weeks until he officially arrives, less than a week to see his backstory, and only 3 days to get a glimpse of him. =D

Kenshi and Skarlet have put so much faith in me for how Rain, the 4th DLC character, and future DLC characters will turn out!
 
Not so sure we are going to be seeing much of his personality, brodudeskies. He probably won't talk, much skarlet and Kenshi.

Yeah, there have been some rough edges on the overall packages of the DLC characters, but the fighters themselves have been good shit.

boon hasnt confirmed that there will be anymore after this 4th one. That is why some people like myself are anxious about the 4th character. If It were a proven fact that they would be adding more, then I wouldnt care at all, I could easily wait for my favorite character in the fall. But its the fear that this will be the only chance for your favorite character that I'm worried about.

He apparently has a voice actor, though, his name is Henry Dittman (this is from his page from the MK wiki and the general Wikipedia, but since neither have taken them down since they've been up, which has been a while, I'm going to assume it's logical).


Besides, Skarlet isn't the type of person that would talk, considering she's more of hunter (she may not even be able to talk, and I hope she doesn't considering her in-game voice is annoying as hell), and neither is Kenshi; he's a lone warrior, lone warriors don't talk often, either. Rain seems like the type that would run his mouth and brag on himself, so he will most likely speak in his intro.

Good points, those. I honestly don't find Skarlet annoying, but that's preferance.

of course, I understand. I think we'll get another 4 characters though and maybe after those, it'll be the end. judging by the mess of no alternate for the DLC characters and all that, my bet would be that after the release of the 4th character, we'll get LOADS of DLC costume packs, maybe fatalities as well (Boon said that's not ruled out unlike stages (most likely) and story mode chapters) so the team has time to work properly on another batch of characters (plus maybe challenge tower missions too, I don't think they ruled this out either). even if this "pause" takes place, I think we'll get our hands on: cyber Smoke, Tanya, Frost and maybe another new character around winter? personally, Reiko would please me the most along with cyber Smoke and Frost but I think only those two and Tanya have hope. lots bet on Fujin too due to leaks but Boon eliminated him with one of his tweets a few weeks back. I'm 85-90% we'll see cyber Smoke, don't worry
