I always hated Kabal and I even hate him more since one day Boon said they were gonna announce another character for the game during some USA TV show. And that day he throwed hints all the time in twitter, he tweeted a part of the lyrics of Purple Rain by Prince, and he also tweeted a link to Rainy Mood, and some other hints i cannot remember, and then they ended up announcing a character that IMO is one of the worst of the franchise, Kabal. Dont get angry kabal fans.

True, but I could see them toying around with the timeline to offer him a more interesting back story. After all, Frost is already a member of the Lin Kuei in the Alternate Timeline...

I hope he'll be released soon. They need to be careful with his movelist though, they already gave Nightwolf his thunder move. Maybe that's why he's taking so much time.

True, i like his prince outfit so it would be cool see him with a reimagination of his MKA outfit, without the cape and with a ninja mask instead of a veil.

Rain doesnt need the lightning back, he would be awesome with all his MKA water powers (water blast, water kick, mystic vapors teleport) and they can add his UMK3 moves (control bubble, roundhouse kick), he doesnt need his lihgtning back to be awesome, he can pass from being the weather guy to be the water guy quite easy.

He may not quite need it, but if they put some real work into it they could make it work. It could also give him a good move to counter crouch blockers. They could have it so he raises his arms and thrusts them down rapidly. A flash of light engulfs the opponents and a massive crack of thunder follows. They could even get popped-up slightly, or even high enough to combo into with a teleport. Still a bit similar functionally, but it's a slightly different look. If I can come up with that off-hand then NRS should surely be able to drum up better than that with all this time.

If they add it, they shouldt make it just a lightning, with no black cloud, to make it different to nightwolf's lighnting that comes from a cloud. Make it more a lightning control and not a "summoning".

Yeah, having given Nightwolf lightning, they'll have to be careful to work around his rendition of it. That's why my thought was to give it a less tangible and more "shock and awe" powerful feel.

wow.. I guess I will never ask for your opinion. Kabal is the best character in Mk franchise.

You know what? Whatever, fine, let them not include Rain. They're the ones who decide that, but don't say this was a game for fans in terms of roster-choices. The fact they released Quan Chi over others from MK1-UMK3 was NOT for fans, the fact they're were lazy enough not to even work on Motaro was NOT for fans, the fact they turned Sub-Zero to that horrible cyborg version, who even copied Cyrax's animations, was NOT for fans, so I'm not really expecting much for Rain, since Boon already stated he doesn't even consider him important so...

well cyber sub was in the story line..... which i dont like him rather put rain but i guess story 1st imo

Kabal was undoubtely the best and ultimate character in MK3-UMK3-Trilogy. Oh good times :)

I actually like Quan Chi as a character and fighter. Do you really know anything about animation and all the other work that would be involved in making Motaro function at a high level? Cyber Sub-Zero came as a story decision that most fans simple can't handle because of they can't deal with change. Yes, Cyber Sub-Zero has a couple moves that are copied and that's no bueno. However, most people just use that as an excuse to rip on him, especially considering he's actually a very good fighter. Just because you weren't satisfied with some of the decisions in the game doesn't mean these decisions were poor.

I am a bit peeved that Rain wasn't included, but it would be terribly unwise to not include him as DLC. I don't see NRS ignoring the money Rain would bring in. It would've been really nice to see him in the original roster (give 360-users 28, PS3-users 29, there's no reason anyone else should've been booted to let him in), but there's very little reason for them not to include him down the road.
