I was lookin on google and found a page on mortalkombatonline.com that had this......

NetherRealm Studios Creative Director and Co-Creator of Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon sat down and discussed his interest in the upcoming Nintendo, Wii U with Gametrailers:

“When thinking about the Wii U and controller, I would like to think we will do something innovative and cool. We are all very excited. Whenever there is new hardware we start to think on a bigger scale. When you see that screen and controller in there, to me things start connecting in terms of what we can do with our game, enhancing the experience.”

I would have the link up...but idk how with an iphone..

Mortal Kombat on the Wii U would definitely be interesting. But I hope it doesn't detract from a new game being on the PS3/360.

not getting the wiiu learned my lession from the wii....which should of been called the zelda twilight princess/smash brothers machine lol.
plus that new controller...they can only be one per console and i really dont see any use for it for mk other than showing the moves and combos instead of paying a jerk .99 cents from your phone.

Ed Boon has always been a nintendo fan...it's his favorite system. In regards to actual gameplay it's hard to say. I bought Armaggedon for the Wii when it first game out, and motion controls for the Wii are complete garbage for FG's. (Unless you use the Gamecube controller) The online compatibility will probably suck, the graphics will barely be on par with the Ps3 and Xbox 360, and I can't see too many innovations being made with just that controller alone. Idk, fighting games like MK should stick to the hardcore consoles, and not the kiddy console like the Wii.

The Wii U looks like such a joke.. Nintendo needs to stop with these gimmicks and get back on track. Make a true console as a true successor to the Gamecube

This!!!

Wii U is just a muddle of ideas. I really think they've lost touch with the core gamers. Has anyone heard some of Reggie's interviews? Pathetic. It seems like they think 1080P/HD are the only ways to get us back. When I first saw the Wii U, I was surprised; I really thought Nintendo was making a comeback. The more news we get, the worse it gets.

Nintendo said the Wii U isn't supporting more than one controller. Not because it can't, either. Because of the price. Yeah, I understand how costly that controller can be, but not even support for it? Not even for 2, it seems; if I have a friend who has a Wii U, and I have one as well, does that mean he can't come over and sync his controller with my Wii U so we can play? Nintendo's lack of common sense really pisses me off. Not to mention it's looking like the Wii U will have a decentralized online system like the PS2, and not a centralized one like everyone else. So now you've gone from seperate friend codes for each game to seperate friend lists and leaderboards for each game? What the hell, Nintendo?

... And now that my rant is over, I hope MK9 doesn't come on the Wii U, but it probably will.

Every time someone responds with "This" another baby dies. You people have no imagination.
Well, I'm mostly just disappointed in Nintendo's apparent online philosophies and general stubborness. I actually think the controller could open up a whole new array of gameplay possibilities. I'm digging the Wii U's increased third-party support and beefed-up graphics. It's just that

I love Nintendo, and I don't think you know how appreciative I am of them saving the game industry. I want them to make a comeback and go back to the N64 days minus the "disappointing" sales/refusal to use CDs in favor of cartridges when it didn't seem like they abandoned us core gamers in favor of casual gamers. That's why I'm so disappointed in Nintendo's stubborness. The Wii/DS have an abysmal online/social network, and while the 3DS is a little more streamlined, it still leaves a lot to be desired. They're playing catch up now with XBL and PSN, and if they don't get it right with Wii U, then I don't think they ever will and it will hurt them in the long run. Can you imagine a Nintendo online service on par with or even better than PSN and XBL, and getting hyped for the upcoming DLC for SSB4 or even a multiplatform game like Arkham City or Battlefield 3? And while you're downloading the DLC on the TV, you could play a game or stream Netflix on the controller or something along those lines? That's what I want to see, and the decentralized network that Nintendo seems to be opting for isn't a good sign of that at all.

I don't have issue with your opinion of Nintendo. I just thought it was funny how you went "THIS" and then the two following posts were just "This!" lol

The Wii is fun....for a short while.

I just turned mine on the other day for the first time in ages....I don't really like the controller and don't think MK would be a good fit for it.

If this is true about only one controller..than I Belive that NRS has gone insane!! How the heck is that gonna work... 

i think the wii u so far is setting nintendo up to fall back in last place in the console wars. to be honest i think nintendo hasn't been able to do a console right since the n64.

Nintendo's Wii has been dominating console sales for the longest time.

Hardcore Nintendo game fans are almost extinct, thats why they don't appeal to us :?

When the wii came out, I went straight to xbox and never looked back (aside from occasional use of my old gamecube). I only like the nintendo handhelds now. Sony's just seem like handheld versions of their previous console. No innovation.
