POLL: Kollector's or Tournament Edition?

What edition do you prefer?

Alright guys, I have come to the conclusion that the tournament edition and kollector's edition of MK9 are completely different entities, with none of the editions adding on to one another.

The Kollector's edition contains: The MK art book, and the scorpion and sub zero figurines.
The Tournament edition conatains: The Arcade Stick, with a container built into it.

Both editions however will have the kombatant skin and fatality. Also, both editions will have the king of the hill avatar game exclusively for the 360.

What i want to know is what edition is better in your opinion, and why. I will start off by saying im feeling the kollector's edition more, because i like the memorabilia, and im not good with arcade sticks.

EDIT: I am basing this on kontent, not price, so keep that in mind, i wanna know kontent wise, not price wise which one you like more.

EDIT #2: I would also like to point out that I am really disappointed that the editions werent in a 3 tiered system like most games' special editions are, for example Halo 3. Die hard fans like me and many others on the forum would love to have all of the special kontent contained in both versions, however that is not the case. I feel this is a complete rip off, even though I dont use arcade sticks, its still MK memorabilia.

EDIT #3: Thanks to Tim Static, I found out the prices of the versions, so I guess we can use price as a factor now...

Kollector's Edition will be available at a cost of $99.99 and Tournament Edition will be available at a cost of $149.99, Keep in mind that this is American pricing to all the international people on this forum, including myself lol.

i choose this one couse it has almost everything and the other one
has the stupid stick thing
i dont even know how to use it
 
TE for me, I want the stick for the 360, otherwise its playing on my dualshock3 on the PS3 which I would rather not do if I have the option of a stick.
 
Yes I need to know the prices also. But I'm going for the Kollector's Edition, since I really want the figurines and artbook. And I already have a HRAP arcade stick laying around somewhere. But, if we find out details of MK HD Kollection coming out soon, then I might change my mind, because of the location of the run button on this stick. And MK HD will give reason for a run button on the stick in the first place...
 
Man the stick sounds nice

but I never really played MK in the arcades like some of you

I played it mostly on my genesis, so i may end up just getting the new 360 controller with the Updated D-pad

I can understand that but I was born with an arcade stick in my hands, If I end up not liking the stick (cheap parts etc) ill just switch to the PS3 and use the dual shock but would prefer to use the stick on the 360.

I'm in this guy's shoes. I've always wanted to own an arcade stick and learn it, but I play much better on a controller. I'll probably secure a (or two) Kollectors Edition before I secure the TE.

That's all I need right there.
I have my Pre-Order through GameStop (since about 4 months ago), so I'll be getting the Classic Scorpion costume and hopefully the "TOASTY" Fatality.


Reptile and Sub Zero's Classic Costume and Classic Fatalities I'll just buy later, when they're up on the PSN store.

I asked the store manager at GameStop about adding more money to my Pre-Order, to get The Kollector's edition, and he gave me this look as if I came from outter space.
I don't think GameStop has the Kollector's / Tournament Edition SKU in their system, YET!!!
 
collectors edition for me also,now if TE edition include scorpion and all the DLC skins then i would get the TE edition
 
Do we know 100% that the TE does not include everything in the KE PLUS the fight stick??

I could have sworn earlier today when all of the info first started coming out, I read something to the lines of this:

Standard: Game only

Kollectors: Game, Art book, figures, DLC costume & Fatality depending on where you pre-order from

Tournament: Everything in Kollectors, Fight stick

Just want to be 100% sure before I preorder either one.
 
I'll probably get the Tournament Edition, Depending on the prices here in Sweden. Since every game here in Sweden is overpriced.
like the Fable 3 special edition. About 1000 Kr. that's around 145 $, and that was not the price in the US.

I was intrigued by the Kollectors Edition at first but then I remembered my Street Fighter IV Special Edition, Where the figurines is really tiny and badly painted.
and I've got one of those "Art Books" from the first Bioshock game and it's about 10 x 15-20 cm and has about 12-15 pages.
and that's not enough for me to run and get it.

But the tournament edition have a great looking arcade stick/box with the original MK arcade button set up. which is awesome.
will probably fit better for Mortal Kombat than my Tekken 6 Arcade stick.
 
100% kollector's edition, besides the fact that there are only 70,000 copies of the tournament edition
 
I think I may go with the Tornament Edition.

Mostly because the stick would make a very effective throwing/bludgeoning weapon...

No, the tournament edition and the kollector's edition are two seperate entities, the only thing they share in common is the Skin, fatality and the 360 exclusive avatar skins and mode called king of the hill. Read my first post, that will answer your question.
 
So how many of you CE people are switching over to the TE? I might get the CE also but my TE is already preordered.
