People are disappointed with Reptile's look?

elongated?? LOL ...i'd rather said enormously elongated/deformed or whatever...that defenitely doesn't look right...Reptile now looks like someone stretched out, squeezed and distorted via photoshop filter...OMG

Um.. but he is a reptile, not a human. So the Dinosaur look is actually appropriate. Even though there have been a couple (MK4 and MKDA) that were just bad. The one with the tail was awful. I love his new look. I definitely like the classic look too, but as an option. Honestly, how many power rangers do we need? I love the fact they make him look like an actual reptile now. It fits his character more than a generic ninja costume does. But yeah, I'm glad we have the option for both.

so you say you preffer Jurassic Park instead of MK? LOL ...all i'm saying is that its NOT what Reptile originally intended to look like! he's supposed to be human with reptile's blood and abilities, but not entirely Reptile...

Seriously though, I do like his new look. I think if just a little of the point of the chin part of the mask was taken out, he would look a lot less avain, but consequently maybe a little bit more "turtely"

I like that he is no longer in his old human form, as the developers would have probably done it this way if they could have back in early years of the series. They'll have to work in how he degraded form so quickly in the story now..but I'm glad to see him non human form none the less...turtle, bird, lizard..whatever he ends up looking like.

This time aroud I wouldn't mind his alternate to be more like a tribal outfit. Like the alternate in MK:DA so we can see him without the mask and such.
Only in a little skinpelt and a necklace of bones ;}
 
"He is a reptile, so he should look like a reptile." is not a valid arguement. Does Nightwolf look like a wolf? Does Scorpion look like a Scorpion? Does Smoke look like Smoke? Is Jade made of Jade? NO! If Reptile was meant to look like a Reptile, he would have looked like a Reptile in all of the games before DA.
 
Well regardless if ppl like it or hate it, that look in the game. With every new game comes new appearences, end of story!
 
The way it's curved makes him look like a bird. I don't like the design. I would have liked to see the mask from the first movie make a return, that was an interesting mask.

But I just don't like how they designed it at all. Hell, even MK4's mask... whatever you called what was on his face, would have been an even better thing to see than this mask.

Certain places you pre-order from give you classic costumes of certain ninjas.

Gamestop- Scorpion
Best Buy- Sub-Zero
Amazon- Reptile

Those are the only three, doing pre-order bonus. And those are the only three characters getting classic costumes from pre-ordering. Unless you get kollectors or tournament edition, then theres a fourth unknown ninja costume that comes with it.
 
His new look is fantastic. The DLC costume is fun for nostalgia but that's about it. I'm glad that NRS is doing the opposite of Capcom and making their primary costumes unique and different and then making klassic alts.

MK4's Reptile was A LOT better looking than this ass-clown.

this game has gotten way too stupid with all of this!
anyway - are you saying that there are only 3/4 classic costumes in the whole game? like will there not eventually be all the classic costumes available via DLC?

Actually... In the last few games Smoke have been made out of smoke and looked like smoke with a helmet on it.

EDIT: And as people previously said... Scorpion is starting to look more and more like a scorpion also. All of his clothing is not more or less Scorpion based

I'll tell you this much... if Scorpion grows a tail, it's peace out for me.
