MS wants to make money, nothing more, apparently. And they will, cause kids are very easy to manipulate in what they should like or not like, in terms of games. With the proper marketing strategy, the game will probably sell pretty well, despite the fact that it's a digital piece of crap.
When the kids grow up a bit and are allowed to play MK9, they won't be able to help but laugh their ass off to the fact, that they were oblivious enough in the past to play such a lameass game.
