Anyone buy the "Kombat Pack" dlc?

I bought it and I still don't have access to any of the DLC content. Anyone know what i'm doing wrong? It says it's in my library, but in game I still can't choose Jason.
 
That's odd. I picked up the Horror Pack along with Jason, and the update was instant with no problem selecting any of the new content.

Maybe closing out Steam and restarting might help.


Anyways, the game is running pretty smoothly for me. Only stage I really experience game hampering slow down on is the Outworld Marketplace when the statue falls.

Running with textures on high, shadows medium, all other post processing toggles off, VSYNC off (must be a new option, along with frame smoothing).

Averaging 40-50 frames in most stages with a pretty old rig -

Windows 7 Ultimate
Q6700
6870HD 1GB Sapphire
8GB PC6400


Will be nice to play this when I get around to upgrading. Waiting for Windows 10 and Skylake.

Lol you were right. I just had to restart steam. I feel stupid.

Also, anyone know a way to record the game without fps dropping to 10?

I get 60 fps when I play, but as soon as I start recording my fps gets raped. I tried turning all the settings down but it still is impossible.

I can record games like arma 3 fine, but can't record this. :/

I have an i7 4770k cpu and a radeon 7970 hd gpu.

OBS. So I found out that the issue was I was recording as a game capture when for mortal kombat X it is actually better to record as a window capture. Not sure why, but when I record as a game capture my fps goes to crap whereas it works fine with windows capture.
 
Well I did it. I bought a PS4 and I have to say, it's like I'm playing an entire different game. The PS4 version is flawless. I hope they still fix the PC version but I am way too impatient. I'm also so exited I can play the last of us and the new uncharted when it comes out.

Fraps may improve things. It also helps if you record to a separate drive independent of the one Windows is installed to. I'd basically say that a storage drive is a necessity, or at least makes things a lot more convenient in a number of ways.

I tried fraps, but it lags just as much as doing a "Game" recording with OBS does. Must be something weird they did in the screen rendering code. Regardless, window recording works flawlessly so i'll just stick to that.

Whoa, that was a quick turn! A few days ago you were the one who called for patience as the PC version showed sudden improvements.

But I understand you. I was considering a PS4 since the announcement of MKX but when it was announced for PC with a launch day release I went for a GTX 960 instead. Unfortunately I cannot afford to be that impatient. Either I sell my GPU or I don't buy a PS4 right away.

Can you give us a more detailed comparison and list the differences?
 
The graphics look smoother, the story mode isn't so damn dark, the netcode is a lot better, the button response is a lot faster too it feels like. The PC version obviously has better graphics but it's hard to explain, the console version is smoother and not so jagged. If that makes any sense. Don't get me wrong though, I'm a PC gamer forever. I didn't just buy the PS4 for MKX either. I just started The Last of Us and I'm a huge Uncharted fan.
 
Story Mode darkness is an XBOne 'feature' if I remember correctly since PC version based on the XBOne code. A lot of people mentioned that MKX looks and runs better on PS4 than X1. NRS advertised MKX mostly on X1 lately because they don't want to show off the best version and let the One players complain over the lower quality of their version but Tyler and Derek streamed on PS4 once and it was obvious that PS4 is better.

Have fun with your PS4 and let's hope for more PC improvements in the future!

XONE wersions is not even FullHD lol!
And Ed, Tyler, Derek and others said that both version ARE FullHD, so they lied... once again.

Glad you solve your issue. If you have an nvidia card you can also try Nvidia Shadowplay, Quality is a bit affected but framerate shouldnt. I recomended that one too.

you traitor!!!, just kidding, like possibly almost everybody on this thread i also though on buying a ps4 to play this game as it should but i really cant afford one now, maybe when there is like a GOTY edition or something and more PS4 games ill get one, well have fun mate, and keep up with the PC version as well, cuz you still own it, so once they fix the game we can play some online and stuff

High Voltage Software comments on PC Patch release[/h]We will be releasing this patch as soon as it is released from QA. The PC version will always be behind the console versions for these particular patches because NRS figures out everything they want to complete, and then they send us the completed code. We don't have a firm date at this time, but the wait shouldn't be much longer.
