I personally think we might see human versions of the robots in the Story Mode, but only as cameos before they get transformed or unplayable characters. I don't want EVERY character we fight to be unlockable, that way you want to do that part of the storyline again, simply to fight Human Sektor again or something like that.

Kause dude they are messing around with the original kharacters. I just hope they are different kharacters from the oringal kharacters so I kould be happy and you guys kould be happy if it is apart of the storyline altering. I just want pure Sektor and pure Sub-Zero.

I'm cool with them, there's no way on Cthulu's green earth they'd replace the poster boy of MK (Sub-Zero) or his brother. I welcome their addition, Human Sektor is going to be awe inspiring, as long as he's black.

Hate to break it to you, but it seems like they had the intention of "messing" with original characters before they even started working on this game.

I for one, accept it. No one wants to see the same old tired shit. Besides, Sektor is very much a cyborg in this game. That's what they're promoting him as. Human Sektor sounds like an alternate costume or a small appearance in Story Mode or the Challenge Tower. I wouldn't let it get to you.

Yes I know. I don't like it. I wish they wouldn't. Like I said before, I want my kharacters pure.

Well, I hope you are right Matt. It kould still be a part of the story altering but shit I hope its a good altering since they are messing with the khacaters.

It's called character growth, man. You can't expect them to stay stagnant. Just look back at the original games. Smoke went from human to cyborg. Sub Zero went from human to Wraith. Cyrax's alignment changed (as did other characters).

This is nothing new man.

**Sigh** Damn you right! But I mean, why do it when they are rebooting the MK1-UMK3 if they are trying to go back to the roots? It would of made more sense if they did it in future games.

Why reboot the series if they aren't going to change anything? I know MK isn't HUGE on the story/character front, but it would seem kinda wasteful to have every single character go the same route.

Then why call him by that name in the first place? Defeats of the purpose of taking older characters, and taking them in different directions. Reboot, folks. You had 9 plus titles to play them the same way.

Yeah that makes a lot more sense. I guess it will be a long time till we get a pure Mortal Kombat.
 
I'm going to go ahead with the theory that Cyber Sub is older Sub's physical body. It's the only way they can justify having 2 Subs and Noob. This way if Cyber Sub is popular, they can keep him and make him cannon in this time line.

Ugh dual timelines...this is going to wind up like the zelda timeline one day lol

Never thought of it that way, that would be cool
But really they don't need to justify his existence, Human Smoke and Cyber Smoke exist in almost every game together.
 
im not sure if anyone else said this, if anyone did, idc, but i think that since events that happened will be altered, that it will be that instead of sub-zero escaping and smoke being turned into a cyborg, it will be that sub-zero gets captured and turned into a cyborg and smoke escapes
 
You guys do realize that in the sound leak the Human Sektor and human Cyrax voices were'nt their intros. They were actual sentences. To me it sounds like in the story mode you get to be there when they turn Cyrax and Sektor into cyborgs. I somehow really really doubt we'll even see them on the battlefield at all.
