That was awesome! I love how she can throw her knives. But the blood ball, is a no no. I like what Trilogy said that she could instead of her blood ball, slit her arm or something and throw at the opponents eye. Sorta like Sonya's kiss move or Sindel's scream. Only cooler.

She looks GREAT gameplay-wise, although I gotta agree that her voice is annoying as hell, and I was hoping that she wouldn't have a blood projectile, although at least it didn't look terrible like the one Nitara had. Her X-Ray was awesome! I really wonder what her 2nd fatality will be like, and although we've "seen" her 1st fatality, it's good to see her using knives instead of thin air like the leaked, incomplete one.
Can't wait to see her at E3 and download her!

Well, I was always complimenting the potential I'd seen in the limited information at hand, this video has done nothing but pile on more optimism about her. She's f-----g squirrels--t nuts lol. Her moves seem pretty cool (her bloodball is still up in the air for me). Her throw just looks mean, her fatalities look like they could be badass, and I don't really see much problem with her X-Ray. It looks sick and the only real similarity between her's and Kang's is that they both kick, but she gouges her opponent's eye with her heel...way more intense.
Skarlet just went from buy and mess around with for a bit to buy and make a concerted effort to learn. \m/

We've already been promised a full patch alongside Skarlet, I'm hoping that won't be the freebie we were promised. However, I'm a bit of a cynical bastard by nature and having to pay for the classic costumes has definitely leaked my cynicism into all future MK9 releases.

From what I saw of Skarlet in her newly released video, I'm expecting some crazy, sadistic badassery. She looks mean lol.
Her blood powers are pretty cool. The only other blood-based characters were Meat (a joke character) and Nitara was a pretty paint-by-numbers vampiric fighter. Skarlet seems, to me, like she was formed from an unstable magic using a powerful element and she is irrevocably insane because of it. Massive difference between Skarlet and Nitara. I'm really hoping she has a great backstory to match her sadistic fighting style.

Skarlets X-Ray is only similar to Liu Kangs' as it is a punch then kick.
Liu's pretty much upper cuts them in the jaw then while they are still in mid-air kicks them again in the jaw.
Skarlet's breaks their nose by an upward palm and while they are still on the ground, gauges their eye out with her heal.
Liu's can continue with a bicycle kick.
Skarlet's has no juggle opportunities after (from what we've seen)

Cant wait to play with her. I agree that her origins lie in the pit bottom. Ed Boon had said on twitter when someone asked about secrets in the pit bottom , that he wasnt ready to reveal any secrets about it yet. So after reading that and seeing her leaked intro and that she used blood Magick. I pretty much knew she had something to do with that stage. Maybe since she wasnt a secret fight to begin with, that may mean the "free stuff" Boon has been hinting @ may be some more secret character fights maybe her and Kenshi. What would make that even cooler is if you unlocked Kenshi by defeating him. But well see I guess. Sucks no release was given but Im sure well know in the next few weeks. Really ****in stoked about this character!

I thought that at first too, but could the other possibly be part of a victory pose? Combine it with the brief bit prior to that clip at 0:33, it certainly looks like it could be a post-match move. Not saying it is for sure, just that it's possible.

And as far as buying characters go, the way I see it is hey Ill buy as many characters as theyll throw @ me. Wether Im skeptical or not because NRS made me like characters and play and learn characters I didnt really think much of or just flat out hated. And everyone who plays MK is probably gonna get everything regardless as well. I mean why not? The worst that could happen is that you dont use them alot but they'd still be one more opponent on arcade to **** up. Plus they may all come with secret stuff!
