NRS get your act together

i hate to say it, but this game is going back for credit. it has so many problems online and new problems with patches. this reminds me of bfbc2 and all of its online issues and constant patch f-ups. only difference is, that game was worth waiting for a fix. this game i could care less. its all about the nostalgia. on a serious note, i could care less about fighting games. mk is an exception. its just a damn shame mk got thrust back into primetime with such a deflating result for online. i hate to say it people, but all this dlc is worthless if the online is basically quadrapalegic. i cant believe i spent a good 4 months hyping myself up for the ultimate return of mk. and what do we get? another top advertised game that gets worse online support than XBLA games.

Dude you're acting like we're begging you to stay. If you don't like the game, ohh well, it's not for you. Different strokes for different folks. My MK works perfectly fine thank you very much.

Trust me, I'm an MK fan, I just don't defend NRS for a major screw up like this, especially when they blatantly lie about that whole, "great net code". I wouldn't be so mad if they didn't lie. I already said the game is great, so how about you read what I say.

I get more lagless games than I do laggy games in this game. The only "fighting" game that had more lagless games and better connections was EA sports MMA

All I know is since day damn 1 I've played one lagless game.

KOTH is unplayable, normal matches are laggy, I get disconnected from my friend constantly, our one good match still had lag. This is just unacceptable. The online was so hyped, and I was so happy.

I've been watching the game since the first trailer in June. I don't need someone to question me as a ****ing MK fan. The difference between me and most of you is I don't eat up NRS's ********. If a company messes up this bad they aren't getting respect for me FOR THEIR ONLINE.

NRS did a wonderful job with the game itself. IT'S AWESOME. So don't question me as an MK fan.

It's the fact that because no one I know likes fighting games really, I would have at least liked to play the game online.

So yes, I'm mad. And I'd say I have a damn good reason to be.

Go ahead, ***** at me.

I'm sure there was no reason for people to complain about Armageddon either, huh?

I'm not asking for VALVe quality here, but I at least want to play without lagging or getting disconnected every match.

If people didn't ***** nothing would change, so I'll whine and complain all I want. So keep your remarks towards my opinions coming, they amuse me.

I love you.
LOL, if you actually think whining and complaining like a 5-year-old about ONE major portion of the game is going to solve anything then I'd hate to see your philosophies about real-life situations. You along with many other people have already informed NRS of the situation. And they have repeatedly stated that they are working to fix the netcode. Sure, they royally screw up, but 2 wrongs don't make a right. I know you're pissed at not being to play online, but is it really hard to just be a bigger person? Online isn't the only major component, you know. You can play offline. You could, you know, play with friends face-to-face, arguably the best way to play a fighting game by FAR. At least do something else other than whine about the game's issues. Seriously, you can't even have a decent character conversation or convo in general about MK9 without some ass clown coming in the thread going, "DURR, WHY ARE THEY MAKING DLC WHEN MY ONLINE ISN'T FIXED?!" Seriously, I'm sick of hearing you people complain ad infinitum. There's an official complaint thread in the MK9 forum, correct? Well, why don't you show others some courtesy by keeping your complaints in that thread? And don't say I can say whatever I want because it's a public forum; there are rules that must be followed and you wouldn't go around showing your tail in a public Starbucks because your coffee and cookies are stale, would you? The same concept applies here, even though you are anonymous.

Like I said, NRS is dedicated to listening to the community and fixing whatever issues that surface; why do you think Rain became DLC? Patience really is a virtue, folks.

/rant=over

Love ya baby.

But you see?

I don't care.

But really, that's great. I'm glad you enjoy the game. As do I.

But I really am just disappointed. I already covered the playing face-to-face.
Well, now that my rant is over, you are not the only the one who has been disappointed in a game after the hype subsides. Happened to me after the first time I tried playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl online. Still happening with Sonic 4. Anyways, maybe I'm just too laid-back of a person to understand the rage behind some people's complaints. But look people it just angers me to see people speaking ill of the game company who is dedicated to creating an excellent online and offline experience for us. It's like biting the hand that feeds to you, it bothers me even more when people try to justify their whining.

People don't understand that MK9 isn't the only case and far from the worst case of waiting for the netcode/servers to get fixed. It usually takes months, that's the chance you take when you want to play a great game online.

BTW, if you like pissing people off, then that kind of makes you a troll, mister. But the point is moot since you don't give a crap, right?

I understand when people say "give NRS time, they will fix it", but i've heard the same thing with games like Medal of Honor, SOCOM Confrontation, Metal Gear Online, and Gears of War 2. Sorry if others like myself are hesitant to take the route of "NRS will fix it". I would like to play with my DLC before 2020.

Maybe the problem is the fact that they separated the DLC and patch teams.

"But if someone tries to touch you in a place or a way that makes you feel uncomfortable..."

*points at Cameron Stroub*

"... THAT'S NO GOOD."

The only 2 reasons that online is crap is:

1. Gamespy- causes all of the lag. It was NRS' bad decision to use Gamespy in the first place, but know there' pretty much nothing they can do about it, besides spending a lot of money and downtime to restructure the servers to GGPO or something good.

2. DLC costume and character compatibility packs not mandatory to play online - this causes all of the desyncs and matches ending. If they were patches that everyone HAD to download, then there wouldn't be any matches ending. And if someone wants to buy the character from that compatibility pack later on, they just buy the key.

There is nothing else wrong with the game, offline or online. Except the glitches, which they continuously fix once they're found. I would say that the game is very balanced right now.

Here's my opinion on it.

Although the online is crap and everyone's disappointed about it, they are still fixing the problem. This game already had success as people gave positive feedback about the game(not including online). Right now they are trying to fix the onlilne problem and make it more balanced. When they spend time trying fix the online play or patching the game, they don't make any money doing this. There's really no incentive of why they would spend time on this. They could shit on his and tell them oh well. Why would they spend their time trying to fix this problem when they should look at a new project? It's because they care about our opinions. They took out the infinite combos and reduced the damages. This is a good start and should be improving in the future.
