The reviewer apparently doesn't realize that this story takes place after MK II.

A lot of these reviewers are ignorant to a few facts of the timeline and MK storyline and DC storyline lol.

Sounds good though.

It's cool to know that, based on what the writer implies, the MK side will get most of the victories in story mode. I need a little reassurance every now and then that this is still our game.
