Another weekend brings us an additional cut-scene screenshot on Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon's personal website, <a href="http://www.noob.com">Noob.com</a>. Ed continues to give us a tiny look at the single player campaign of <a href="http://www.trmk.org/games/mortal_kombat_vs_dc_universe/">Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe</a>. This screenshot shows an intro shot of <b>"Chapter 5"</b> of story mode, which apparently will feature <b>Scorpion</b>. It appears that <b>Scorpion</b> is teleporting into a urban scene, depicted in past <b>Noob.com</b> image releases.

Also hidden at the bottom where it used to say "NY STYLE" it now reads "Looc divoe micong noso.." Which unscrambled says... Cool video coming soon.....

I am really looking forward to see how the story mode plays out.

What is going to be the difference between the story mode and the regular climb to the top single player? Any idea? Is the story mode going to have a cinematic ending depending on which side you choose?

I'm not impressed with some of the story mode screens...

...Its ull and boring and doesn't give anything away.

Ah... Why do I complain its not like their gonna reveal the plot.

As far as I know, the standard arcade mode will be just like every other MK arcade mode; choose your fighter, fight through several randomized matches, beat the boss and get a 2D picture accompanied by a wall of text for your ending. The story mode, on the other hand, will make you select either the entire MK or DC side, from which you'll see the plot unfold as you battle a set of predetermined characters using a set of predetermined characters.

So yes, the story mode will have a cinematic ending, in addition to cinematic clips for everything else that happens in the story, while the standard single player mode won't.
