Comes with 2 analog sticks, supports microSD card and has better 3D effects.
 
Everything that's new on it looks like it's in the most uncomfortable spot. I also just bought myself a new 3DS XL last week. Nintendo isn't getting any of my money for quite awhile. Screw this new 3DS.

Glad I waited (I came really close to getting that fire emblem bundle)I already have xenoblade on wii so until more games are annouced I see no reason to pick this up.
 
If there are as many customizable faceplates for the thing as I believe, I may just be willing to part with my pikachu 3ds xl.
 
not coming to the U.S. until 2015. i can still play pokemon and Smash on my 3ds!!
this thing can also handle gamecube and wii ports. sounds good.
 
good damn it Nin10Doh MAKE A GOOD ANALOG STICK FOR ONCE! TAKE SOME NOTES FROM THE FONYS GAYSTATION VITAS LAYOUT! GOD DAMN!!!!!!!.........................ok I feel better now :P
 
I don't get why the 3DS wasn't designed with the 2nd analog in the first place, since a lot of video games these days make use of both in their control schemes. Monster Hunter didn't feel right using face buttons in place of the analog controls.
 
If it's supposed to do Gamecube ports, then it wont be that bad. I can't remember any game for the GC that had you focus on using the C Stick. It was mainly for arbitrary shit like switching weapons and twitching the camera. So this analog should work fine for that.
