My JC Tutorial/Combo Ideas

Actually 3 years old when I first got MK. I really don't know if you're trying to mock me but if you are, you're failing pretty bad.
Well, just recently it seems. There is a huge influx of people who are NOW saying Johnny is a beast, and how cool he looks. He's always been a badass. And I can't answer how I beat you to it, some people are just born with keen intuition

A nice high damage combo i found out for cage was
f4,dash, 2-1-f2, dash, 4-4 EX shadow kick this is around 32% damage
And a nice wall combo
2-1-f2, b3, 2-1, 2-1, 4-4, EX Shadow kick will get you 43%, EX nut buster gets you 43% although it misses sometimes and is harder to land than the EX shadow kick
And a good Cage tip DCP if you haven't figured out already, if you do 2-1 instead of 1-1, it'll do more damage although the timing after the dash is stricter because if you do 2-1 too early after dashing it'll mistake it for f2-f2
But nice tut anyway keep 'em up!

Nice man, I know exactly what you mean with 2-1, the timing kinda throws me off and I can't pull it off as effectively as I do 1-1. So I'm probably gonna stick to 1-1 till I can pull off 2-1 consistently. If I'm correct it's the same exact thing as the combo I have on my sig right (just 2-1 instead of 1-1) so really they do close to the same amount of damage. I guess it's really just preference.
It really pisses me off when it confuses the commands because I miss out on a potentially damaging combo.

Precisely DCP although I see you have a new signature combo haha. Yeah I hate it when I'm doing a combo where i do 2-1 instead of 1-1 and it misconstrues my command as the double elbow haha
Yeah I tend to change my "trademark combo" every time I find out a more damaging one, haha. That's happened to me much too many times, haha. I'm gonna continue trying stuff out, I'm sure there's still something I haven't figured out.

1. those combos are awesome, i might try them out but i doubt i'll be able to pull them off
2. i never really use jc much and my favorites change just about every game but i usually stick with noob. Its always good to have a favorite because that means you can usually whoop tail with whoever you like the most. i'm not gonna become a huge jc fanboy but i'll definately work on him and everyone else i've never favored so when i go online i can test myself by always choosing random.
3. i always feel like i'm rambling when i post something
1) Thanks man, they really aren't that hard to be honest. The key is timing after each hit. I started off by practicing Back + x then just Square,Square to get the timing down. Dashing is extremely important in this game.
2)I really don't care if people start liking/using JC. I just hate the people that called him a "joke" character but are now suddenly on his nuts since he's a juggle God and a respectable character in MK9.

It sucks that people think he's a joke character. even if you don't like some characters you have to respect all of them especially JC because he's one of the foundations of MK. He's like bass in a band, people have their opinions but he's always there and it wouldnt be right without him.

that woulda changed history forever. hopefully they make another game and maybe center it around JC just for you guys. I think he probably deserves it the most for all the crap he takes

I don't know. After seeing Mythologies and Special Forces, I'm not sure that would turn out too great. I love Johnny just as he is.

Although I'm not much of a Johnny Cage fan, as a bass player, I know what you mean.
A good friend of mine is also a bass player.
His band once told him that bass isn't as important.
So, he let them do 1 show without him, to prove how wrong they were.
Needless to say, the show sucked because there was no backbone.
As such, many of the Mortal Kombat 1 thru Ultimate 3 characters (whether you like them or not) are the backbone of MK 9, and the game would feel weird without them.
OT:
Even though I'm not a Johnny Cage fan, I just want to learn his combos and DASH moves.
That way I can apply the DASH combo system to a character that I like better, like say ..... Noob Saibot
JC is just practice for me to get the timing down.

If your using him definately. I'll try to get there too but i'll probably have alot less juggles in my arsenal and just have to outsmart people.
