Mortal Kombat HD Remix with MUGEN

It´s the reason of why i have not discussed this detail with him.... cause is obvious and him said to me that my bedtime has passed XD.
Him thinks in very close mode.
But i have said more or less the same with other examples, when i have mentioning about the others mk mugen proyects.
Why bleed is responsible when there are other ppl that have the original sprites already ripped?
should be worse, cause are the original images.

better even, how is posible that mk wharehouse web site have not legal problem yet?

also in bleed ´s case are recreated sprites... is imposible consider it like a plagiarism.
Include bleed ´s sprites is a 3d cartoon with quality....... but for T T all is insane, chicken conformist never i was :D.

Even, for example, the liu kang from arq is not 100% ho sung pack.............. it is a 100% real copy of the original content? same with bleed ´s scorpion? look 100% like mk1? Suddenly no, cause is a recreated game from zero.

the ball is in your court. my best advice as a friend is....

trickle out the content via mkmugen forums....

someone will compile the game and make it happen in your vision....

and 1000 people will make ermac/rain/chameleon etc...
it is bound to happen 'talker. there is no other way man.

what do you have done in mk mugen? huh? more speach than make anything seem (3 or 6 sprites is not enought)....... honestly you come here saying that you are the mkmp administrator and what hell did you have done for mk mugen? did you codded alot things? did you drawed and moddified alot chars ´s sprites? or did you builded stages at least?

I insists to you cal, that is not good release it like free content to mk mugen, pay atention that "tammy" is saying 1000 chamaleon version from bleed, is a suicide idea. is better finish game and release with close content for a huge time.

I am sure that ppl got my point, and seem someone is resentfull with my words :D and cal you are not the exception ;).

It's really sad to see what this thread has devolved into. If it's not about making HD MK sprites and artwork any more it doesn't serve the purpose it should serve any more.

You must understand the shock that was sent through all of mkmugen from this call.
its all just fan art. like fan movies, fan fiction, fan custom toys, fake pics, etc... it should be
no big deal.

P.S. @Undertalker, you mean Don "King" not kind. Promoter, is the word i think your grasping for.
I know i release none of my creations or show or share, id rather showcase and help others.
I dont care what there guys do with their artwork, i just post and be active and give ideas.

I would like to see these guys hard work get implemented into regular mugen communtiy mash-up
game dlc type content, since it seems to be not a fully working game, and they may never finish project
now. liu kang could always be added later.

Its fine. Right now we continue to make fan art until instructed not to. I will not be leaking any artwork until or unless this blows over. I suggest Bleed and Arq do the same. Once this stuff is out there we lose control. Doesn't make sense right now until we are back off of the radar.
 
Bleed, the person who called you was identified as a staff member of WB or representative attorney of their copyrights?
But as you know that someone is not trying to scare you just to cancel MKHD remix?
So, as you can ensure that belongs really to WB?

First off thanks to you and everyone who worked on the project on your hard work. It's been exciting to follow the developments and watching you all learn and improve on what you were making. I knew it would come to this, because WB has to protect their Trademark rights when it comes to people distributing their game or fan made games too. If they don't protect it, then anyone can release stuff (paid or otherwise) and it would dilute the brand and kill the franchise. Just how things work.

Fan sites have our own problems to deal with when it comes to their Trademarks as well, we have to be careful not to infringe. That's why the name "Mortal Kombat" is not in our parent company's name or in the domain name. Sites could lose their domains to WB if they use "mortal kombat" in them, if WB wanted to make that move.

Since you can't allow people to download it, I'd suggest doing pretty much what you say above. Finishing it in some form for yourself and then put in your job application portfolio. Then use what you learned and some of the tech and build something on your own and make some money from it maybe until you find a job, or make making games your job.

Whatever you do, don't stop creating stuff. You have the talent, just get out there and use it for something you can own.
 
Thank you Patrick for letting us build this project here. As long as this thread continues we will keep creating artwork until we are instructed to take everything offline. The community here has generally been pretty fantastic which is why I think we all stuck around for 2+ years.
