Mortal Kombat HD Remix with MUGEN

Haven't gotten to the VS thing yet. I was just getting that Bio animation made and was planning on starting it, but ended up making the Sektor model. I wanted to do some hard surface modeling.

great!! either ways, I think you can use the bio animation instead of making a fighting movie but that depends on you.

you know, when I was working on my model of sektor I found this great image to use a reference for texturing and lighting and I Know you'll make you model faster than me, also I working on goro wich I want to finish in maya, so I wanted to share my reference with you so you can use it aswell.

take a look at the head and the chest... and maybe you can add a bar code too, that would be a great detail and you can add his real name LOL

I'm done, I just can't find a f.... Way to fix the gamma, the sprites I uploaded last years looks great on my PC today but if I render one of those sprites again in the same computer the same pictures looks wayy too dark, I'm pissed! If I can't fix it I just don't wanna work with liu anymore!!

Can't you just fix the levels by eye to compensate?

I'm not really sure cause I know I can make an action to kind of match the tones, what I'm afraid of is the color palette, I don't want color popping while kicking or something, I need the advice of bleed since he has being working for so long with sprites and palettes or from interloko, also I wanna know if interloko had been able to work on liu

And what is the problem with rendering the old sprites again with the new settings?

Maybe you can take a scene with the right render settings, and just merge the models from the messed up one in to it.

that's what I was planning to do, is just that I render soooo much sprites..
but that's why I wanted to know if interloko was working on liu

Hi Arq, sorry to hear about the lighting situation. Don't worry about how far Interloko has gotten. His part is easy in comparison to the work you are doing. He can simply pull in and replace the updated frames. Will suck if you need to render all over again, but not the end of the world. Good luck.

Yeah, you guys are right, it would be too much of a pain in the ass to fix the muscles deformations frame by frame. =/

Well, i decided to show you guys what i'm talking about anyway. Maybe there's a way to achieve this. I really don't know.

Arq, again, if I can somehow help you by lending you some rendering power, I'll be glad to help.
I already have 3DS and VRay.

Thanks a lot bro!! I think I got for now, I got the office computer and mine aswell but I need yours no doubt I'll let you know, I alredy have 3 animations rendered already

Also, i'm a drawing artist, so i could easily work on the finishing touches for the characters selection pictures. Specially the ones that are showing their whole faces in it like Johnny Cage, Sonya and Liu Kang.

One thing i noticed on the characters faces is that you're sculpting it mirroring half of it on the other side. That act makes the model face symmetrical(obviously), making it different from the actors faces(since almost no one has perfect symmetric facial features). I think they would look way more natural and human like if you try to replicate their faces as they are in real life. With all their flaws.

Of course that would not be noticeable in the gameplay itself but it shows in the character selection pics and in the test your might poses.

As I said before, I'll add the sprites later. I've made this twice and don't want to lose my time with this again and again. That's why I haven't added the latest sprites yet.
Expect another update from me at the begining of next month with TYM and some other characters gameplay using old sprites.

Make sense, I remember in my old days making SFF for characters, change all the sprites over lot of time is really frustrating.
Have the whole programming with the old sprites is the best choose, anybody can change the sprites later.
