raiden's portrait is looking great...
here are son comments that might help:

more light on his face
the expression needs to be more exagerated
show more teeth
the 4 fingers needs to be aligned but the pinky finger is the one not aligned, now you have the index not aligned
the strong light coming from the left of your picture might help

NICE first pass Bleed! I think the right hand (on the left side needs that strong lighting and the face definitely needs more light.) Looks like he's missing his top teeth because that area isn't lit enough. The hat in this pose is slightly wider than in your image and the peak of the hat a is a bit more squat. The mouth shape is a little too wide also.

better!! but the thing with his lips, its a little different ,its like his showing his theeths,similiar like a dog do it, no so like opening the mouth ..

i mean the left country , argentina from buenos aires.... , but not living there right now, because is like a dirt bathroom.. like an old cinema bathroom.. :/..
so from the reference of the original raiden,
_the mouth shape is more rounded, and the upper lips is not like a U shape more like rect _
not so wider, (maybe the folowing comments can be tweached for the person who is in charge on the lights and modeling, its a very hard task to match up in photoshop)
_and the teeth are very close to each other,
_the left hand, can be more braightened, i like the new lightening behind him, like a close up, true more like
_(3d editor) maybe you can move his right finger toe more up like the photo
_also the original Raiden,was iluminated with two hard lights above him and to the SIDES of him, and not so from behind, look the hat, light, shadow, light,
maybe the light can be moved, more towards to him, so the impression i have from the original again ,is that the actor was iluminated from sides, and above,, you can see the little line shadow in the middle of his face the result of this set, from the bottom of his nose, to down to the chin, and to the outskirst of his BaTH..

if the comments i posts up, can t been done in 3dmax, try to ad in photoshoot more contrast to raiden only on hat face and arms, and you can ad a photo filter blue(on 10 or 15 opacity play with that).
the original pic its more blue oriented, because lightening surround him, right now his general picture light look more cyan and green and need more contrast
any news on the state of progress on sonya and kano?? i want to see them :D``````````

Yes, someone over at The Technodrome forum noticed that Kintaro's accessories came from a Super Shredder action figure released circa 1991. I thought that might be an interesting factoid that could come in useful when Kintaro's ready to be rendered, so that they can be designed properly front and back.
