Mortal Kombat HD Remix with MUGEN

Ears are smaller

Teeth are shorter and thicker, more like the ending picture and the mkT card. http://www.mortalkombatwarehouse.com/mk2/baraka/#ending

Waist is thinner

White flaps on the side are less round going down, Looks more like a triangle form the side now.

Arm bands have half as many balls, and they are bigger.

Long blades match closer to the size needed for the win pose. They are more triangular now, wide bottom.

Shoes are smaller

Legs are slightly thinner

Shirt hangs a little more baggy now.

That's about it for the larger changes.

That's close enough, I need to move on with the rest of it.

The blades are a definite improvement. I see you also increased the size of the smaller spikes in the forearms.
I still think the torso is too big, and the change to the shoes was extremely subtle, to the point where I can't really say I notice it.
However, I understand if you want to move on to other things.

That said, if I was to suggest ONE change it would be this:

Your model has a chin that is just not there in the original.
Also notice how the total height of the set of teeth is supposed to be largely equal to (if not larger than) the distance between the upper lip and the brow, and it's close to half of that in your model.
The lip-nose distance is far too big compared to the other features in the face.

Hi everyone! I've been watching this thread for quite a long time. I congratulate all of you who are involved. I would offer up my own critiques, but I think you guys have it covered for now. I hope we can all see a finished game soon. Keep up the good work. I wonder what suprises are next?! MK 2 ninjas, Shao Kahn, Kintaro perhaps? Lol.

I think you have proportions just about perfect but the mouth is off. There shouldn't be a chin as uKER said. Looks awesome and really quite accurate otherwise!

I love the way he looks now, the new blades are awesome, just I would like to now where does those blades go when they are hidden hahahaa and also how are you planning to animate those blades?? Maybe morph target or something?? Another thing is... in the pictures of baraka you can see divizo's hairy chest, will you add that? Maybe you can add it and add some hair to his forearms too, like wolverine, that would add a lot of realism

Ok I'll make the teeth bigger, quick fix. I was planning on adding some chest hair, and I'll make some bones for the blades. I can move them around a little with that, but I'll need a morph to have them go in all the way.

Another option is to make the blades short enough to fit in the arm, and use two bones for it. One as the base and another on the tip, that I can move out to stretch the blade.

Hey Bleed, just out of curiosity, do you plan on doing any work for MKKE on PC? I think someone of your talent could really pull off some great things with that game, especially when/if the meshes become editable.

Meshes won't ever become editable from what I've talked with some people that are pros in this field of mk9 modding and hex editing.
That something will never ever happen is quite a bold affirmation to make, isn't it?

Now, for whatever it's worth, here's a little tweak to Baraka's eyes' shape and position.

I'm not sure lowering the outer corners was a good thing. What I intended to point out is that the center, where the eyes are close to the nose, should be cut almost vertical.
Also, the outside of the eyes should be narrower than the mouth. To achieve this, the eyes need to come closer to the center.

About the mouth, I'd make it even taller. Less chin and less space under the nose. See how the nose tip is supposed to be closer to the lip than it is to the eyebrows. To get that proportion right you should probably check the side view in the pic where Divizio is facing the mask.
Also, I may be wrong but I think the (nonexistant) chin should be smaller.

Baraka's body looks great, however his head need alot of work. Perhaps you better use his MKT versus picture for references than the real mask photos, since it better represents what artists thought Baraka must look like:
Umd1a9X.png

I cuted out his head from vs image and resized it with proportions still intact. I also made color adjustments - his skin color became more yellowish/greener (so it looks much more like his in fights one, but here is your current color skin if you like it better), red stripes on his torso became darker, and his belt and armor under it became brighter

And finally here is Youtube video showing one of the original Nosferatu masks they probably used and fan's attemp to mod it into Baraka - it shows the mask from different angles, so it must be very usable.

Actually, if you'll going to watch Bleed's page, you'll find the pictures of Shao Kahn model there.

Meshes are edited already:

You can only swap meshes from the same pack files not from others which is useless...
There is no known way as of yet, that allows you to import your custom character models and replace them with the current character models.
From what I've talked to a guy, he has been able to do it in injustice and he might look at how this translates to the pc version of mk9 and he will also make it possible there.
