Mortal Kombat HD Remix with MUGEN

I'm working on Raiden guys, so holding on Cage's animations for a little while. I'm trying to get this model ready for bbyoshi147, hoping to get something nicer than what I had before.

Some changes:

Went over all the folds in the costume to make them sharper.
changed the topology on the Gi, attaching the collar to it, so it doesn't separate with cloth simulation.

Made the Shaolin socks again from scratch, it was like a wrap before ending at the ankles.

Re sculpted the shoes

Distorted the hat so it's not a perfect circle, pulled the sides down and tilted it back a little.

Moved the arms down and made them a bit longer to match some reference.

I'm working on the hands right now...

Thats great bleed, the likeness is outstanding and I love his shoes, in my free time I'm working on liu and I started to model John turtuk (unmasked sub-zero, Shang stung mk3), I love those tow characters in mk3 and they happend to be the same guy, since my liu's model wasn't used, and it had A LOT OF MISTAKES, so I'm trying to put all my brand new knowledge in turtuk and I'm pretty satisfied with what I got so far, soon I'll post something, about liu, I'm working on his turning animation, maybe next week I post an update and also I'm trying to make the sprites to work in mugen but no success yet, :p
 
In Fighter Factory, make sure the sprite number Zero, is of Liu kang's HD sprites, and using Liu Kang's Master Palette.

Sprite 0 is important for making the palettes work.
 
to Bleed, that Raiden model looks nothing short of awesome. Fantastic work! I can't think of anything right now on it that needs improvement.
Maybe the face, but as the original actor's sprite was not very detailed in the game, everything would be an improvement, and in your case, it's a huge one!

Love that Raiden model also, but I would make the face, specifically the jaw, more muscular.
 
Raiden looks a bit chunky, might be due to the angle though.

I think his clothing should have a thicker look, it currently looks too silky(the behavior of the cloth folds/too much folding).

Other than that great job as always.

I think his figure is spot on, Carlos Pesina IS a little wider in the belly area:

I do somwhat agree on the cloth, liked it better with less folding.

As for the texture and lighting on your Sonya statue, try to have it something like calactytes Goro:

Carlos Pesina is not skinny. Even if you look at some photos from one of the later games where he is demonstrating some kung fu moves, he's a little chubby.

Yeah, I should have posted a statue screenshot of her to avoid confusion, but I remembered that apart from the hand position, they were identical looking, so I thought it served the same purpose to emphasize my point. Sorry for confusing anyone.:oops:
