The original games have the statues being semi glossy. There are many different types of stone materials in this world. The statues as they were intended in the original game have a sort of polished stone. You are of course more than welcome to disagree but I am not changing it now.
There are many things "wrong" in the original game. Lighting on the backgrounds for example, doesn't make sense at all. If you change it to be realistic you'd get a completely different look of the game.I realize that, but I'm saying I think the original game is wrong
I realize that, but I'm saying I think the original game is wrong not YOUR statues per say, I know yours are spot on with the game, it just was an opinion... sorry if I offended you.
What the point was to make an arena with statues of different Earthrealm warriors? Shang Tsung, probably, had much time to do such things.
Oh... interesting view. I never exactly understood - was it the tournament between a lot of different people from different realms and we know only the most famous, or it was just a small local fight between 10 characters on a lonely magical island for the destiny of all humanity? Was it highly organized cultural match, or just a bloody mess of people fighting each other (as it was in Armageddon intro)? This background kind of has a rich story to it. Too bad it was retconned in MKSM to be part of Earthrealm (although exactly why it would be makes even less sense).
You could really pick apart the logic of mortal kombat all day and really get nowhere. Of course it doesn't make sense that if the statues are to intimidate the current warriors, (meaning the statues would have had to be newly created and placed there) why do they look old and cracked?
Hey Guys, I made some corrections suggested by you, but I'm with difficulties in applying the texture of stone that @ la Luna has indicated, to be equal to the other statues that @ calactyte did.View attachment 5463
