Mortal Kombat HD Remix with MUGEN

Ok, so I just added several new sounds to Dropbox. I agree that some of the current SFX are a little iffy, but getting to actually see/hear them in context will be extremely helpful. I think the punches do need to be more varied, if that's possible in-game. I think most of the SFX in the game need to be randomized among 3+ variations. Like I said I don't know if that's possible but it would be very nice.

I got rid of that uppercut sound used in the vid cuz it's really old anyway and sounds like ass. There are now two new versions in the Dropbox.

I'll keep plugging away as I can. Work has been biting me in the ass recently, but like I said these videos that Interloko is posting are very helpful in seeing what exactly needs work. Great stuff loko!

Does MUGEN use MP3s for the music files? WAVs? I'm not sure.
It uses MP3s only for BG music but for the end of round, dizzy music and any other FX it uses WAVs.

Edit: For the BGs I prefer to join Intro+song into a single MP3, then a WAV file for end of round and another for "finish him" loop sound. This sound is 3.21 secs long

Gotcha. It's weird, I keep exporting the Main Loops as MP3s but they add a little bit of silence on the ends of the file, basically negating the purpose of the loop. Did you have trouble with that main loop for the Cavern loko?

as for the main file the loop can be "marked" in the BG def file, in samples.

@Interloko so I tried to test the latest build on my computer here at work and it wouldn't start. Just a blank screen. Running on Windows 7 6 Core 3.2 GHZ processor and 16GB. Did you check to make sure the uploaded files work? I can hear the cursor movement sound FX but the screen just stays black.

It works here.
Try mashing the buttons (A, S, D for example) and let me know if you see something

Edit:
Cal, please check the temp folder in DropBox, I've uploaded the latest mugen builds without any modification.
Just unzip and test them without any of our stuff.
Alpha 4 is the one used in our game now. The previous build used Alpha 3.

The previous build worked for you in the same PC?

Green cursed, which of the greens it should use definitively, because Sonya appears with three types of clothing in green MK Original, you can give a tip? And already applied textures in Sonya, but still missing some textures to apply especially in green clothes.180x258x75x0.jpg185px-SonyaMK1ending2.gif1678980-mk1_sonya_thumb.pngsonya foto4.jpgsonya foto5.jpg

Wasn't Sonya modeled already by Gojira?

Well anyway, I would go with the color of the sprites, when you fight I guess. Maybe pick the two most different colors, make a gradient in Photoshop and pick the middle tone.

I thought Sonya was already made, too.

Got the Kano portrait uploaded to the Kano folder as well as the choose your fighter psd's.

Also, where can I find a demo of the latest build in dropbox?

Access is limited to a folder that only Bleed, Interloko and I can get to. This is because the game is built with a prerelease version of Mugen which Interloko as a beta tester can get into trouble if it were leaked. Stay tuned for when we will open it to all the team members.

Thanks for uploading the Kano portrait.

I still had not seen the Sonya that they have done, but it sure must have been better than my. because I am a rookie in that class, I am only 38 days of experience was when I made the Sonya that posting, and I will continue working on it to acquire experience, if they need me to help in any thing you can count on me. And thank you for tips.

Several characters have been made more than once. Doesn't mean all of them can be used, but it's great to have that interaction and figure stuff out. I don't mind the extra models as long as that is understood.

Sorry for the delay, liu kang is finally rigged, because I did it before but when I started animating I realized so much things wrong like bleed said with cage, that's why I didn't even posted an update... It was a problem with the units in max but now it's done, now I'm adding muscle to get better deformation, at this moment deformation looks good already but muscles will help a lot too, so soon you see liu kang like you've never seen before
