Mortal Kombat HD Remix with MUGEN

I can't wait to see this awesome project completed. Every day I come to refresh and see the news. I even made an "art" just to kill the desire a little bit:

Ok, cool cool. Glad I got his face good enough. Will try and tweak it here and there, hopefully not so much that I distort it.

haha its all good cal. I noticed the pouches were designed differently, but liked how the look anyways. So I just went ahead and used them. I'll update with the new one, though.

One more thing, his knives. I haven't really looked, but did Kano had any iconic or a specifically designed set? Or will any throwing knife do?
 
Hey I'm not too sure if this is even possible, or functional, but I was thinking to fix the flat background idea that we have "bent" stages. So when the camera pans, it looks like the background has distortion. Or maybe even render out an animation with the room turning to show perspective, and have that link up with the camera. Here is a sketch of what I mean and hopefully it makes sense:

You tell us when you can finish this and provide me or Bleed some kind of updated play test. Lets say by the end of February as a tentative date. I'm not going to bother you about it everyday like I did before. If you are interested in contributing please provide updates maybe once a week. Something like "Hey guys here is what I've finished this week:"

I like the lifebar and texts in UNREALWINS pic. What do the other team mates think about it? is there any chance of update ours or not?

I like that the name is gold and has depth. Don't really like anything else about it though. Interloko, before you get started please let me update all the files on dropbox for you. Then you can download the latest stages and UI. I don't want you to have to have to keep going back and replacing stuff. 95% of all the art outside character animations is totally complete now. I'll send you a PM once I have everything updated on Dropbox which should be within the next hour or so.

Awesome idea, just not for this project. MK1.5 can have these cool changes.

The throwing knife is pretty standard looking. The only reason I'd say to keep it that way is because I've already done his projectile so It would be nice if it matched up.

Have a look at the projectile and see how closely you can match it.

Cal, now I have Dropbox installed in my PC and it's conected to internet, so when you change the files the app will automaticly download them

I really like it too, but I think the PUSH START is too big, or it's just me?
 
haha Well, I mean the sculpting. Everything is unwrapped for the most part, and whats not will take like a second to. Once all that is completed, I'll upload the .ztl to the dropbox
 
No. Ant you've been a part of this thread for awhile so I won't go into why not. Look ahead to MK1.5 for now if you don't like MK1 then you won't like MKHD.

Edit: Well I guess Parallax isn't anything too major, unless as Bleed said it looks strange on some stages, but there aren't going to be tree's blowing in the wind, guards shifting their weight or anything else not in the original game. MK1.5 can have all these improvements and more.
No cal. I don't know what do you mean with that MK 1.0 or MK1.5 , i just ask for that , backgrounds to be like in original game , nothing more. On one video Bleed show so fight between Sub-sero and Scorpion ,backgrounds was just one image :) .In original game, this stage is from 3 or more parts , layers, each layer move individually and this adds depth and dynamic of the backgrounds .

My misunderstanding then. I thought you were asking for dynamic background animations, not parallax. Yes we can do parallax but only if it doesn't look strange as Bleed pointed out that floor lines were making it look odd

amazing job on the face, just a comment, I think he should be less defined and there is something in his pelvis that looks kind of strange... . BUT THE FACE IS JUST AMAZING GOJIRA, congrats

I'm guessing Gojira hasn't had the chance to retopologize yet. That's why you are seeing pixels in the abdomen/chest area.
 
It looks like his groin area should be more baggy. I think you should show the bottom part of the crotch in his pants. Right now his pants are looking like someone gave him a mean wedgie.
