I agree with Icon, like in bleeds animation of skeleton fatal in video. Charred skeleton has little sparks/embers "twinkling". Also Scorpions teleport has fire like i said earlier. (I realize this is bleeds personal project) There is talk about Sub-Freezing opponents neck during fatal. Also Subs fatal has new anim now, Reptiles name is in the lifebar, etc.

Already the game has new features. Long ago here we spoke of, screen length/size. character sized from proper or improper sized orig sprites, etc. THIS IS MUGEN. It WILL be different. And IS! PPL should accept it and not be so BUTTHURT! Learn proper MUGEN Etiquette and leave the wild "MK1.5HDRemakeKE" ideas alone. The creators will controll their assets, and add little things they may want to learn or implement as they go.

The MUSIC is DOPE! Exactly what it needs to be! and using new voices ---> Thats that shit I DO LIKE!

You are welcome to not to play our version of the game if you don't like the timing. If Bleed says it matches the arcade original, then I'm all for it. All of these people talking about how the fire isn't real, I'm sorry but we DON'T have the resources to make it look "real".

Also "real" each person will have their idea for what real even is. It is a fire breathing undead skeleton in a ninja outfit and you are focusing on the "realism" of the fire? Really?

So I know this will be hard, but just let it go. If we can update the fire and make it more awesome later then we will. In the meantime this is as good as it gets and I personally think it looks awesome right now (but I'm just a tiny bit biased).

The little embers that bleed added in the end must have been something he added but the version of the game he is showing you isn't final.





bleed, you got to put a pause in the timing on scorpions fatal man, even if it is just when he takes his mask off...

yeah the original game was "x' frames per second, but didn't you say your game was fatser anyway? so that makes the original timing faster also because you have your overall timing set faster.. get what i am saying?

yeah i understand that you guys want to stick with originality, but if that was the case, then the sprites would be original too, not new or not had, if your gonna go all the way to create somthing new, then it would be obvious that you also take every aspect of the game and make it better also, this includes slightly changing fatals, even if it's just the timing to make the game better...

you have all of these resources, and time, why not use them and produce the best possible game you can?

the fire isn't realistic, and the timing is wayy to fast bro...

you can do it bleed, i know you da man.... a few timing changes and some realistic fire is not really hurting anything, only making the original better.. and isn't that what you guys are trying to do?

yeah original stuff is ok, but if it was what everyone wanted, then we wouldn't be here talking mugen remakes now would we?

Yes there are some changes from the original arcade, but we are trying to keep everything as close to the original as possible. Only if it makes sense will we be adding new things in. I'm personally not against the pause. But Bleed knows what he is doing. If he thinks it looks cool as is, I don't even think twice about it. All I'm saying is we have to maintain laser focus on creating everything as close to the original game as possible. From there we can decide what minor deviations we want to make. Then if the community wants an MK1.5 (I don't care for it) then I'm sure all sorts of cool new ideas will be added.

KAGE!!?!??! Thats that shit I DON'T LIKE. New fatal for kano with knife is awesome for MKTX
(MK Trilogy Xtended) but not for this Remake. These guys will not use ideas like this. Better
to add small hardly noticable bling/glow/reflection to his metal faceplate or blade.
 
Thanks for the critique, but I'm not changing the timing, it's a choice made long ago and I'm sticking with it. I may change a pose slightly during an animation to make it play smoother, but I'm not changing the general timing.

I'm done working on that anyway, moving on to something else. I don't want to spend more than 2 days on any animation, because it'll take for ever to finish.

I just wanted to say that I don't post here, but I still check up on you guys every now and then and all of your amazing work blows my mind. I completely support the direction you're taking your project in. And I really appreciate you taking the time to share it with everyone.

Keep up the good work! : ) I know a lot more fans like me are watching the games progress happily, but not posting anything.

Guys I've uploaded a backup of my files to Dropbox (Complete Game folder).
There are unfinished stuff everywhere, so don't take anything as finished.
I'll be finishing some stuff next week so please don't report bugs now, just take it as a backup file.

Maybe tomorrow morning I'll write more about it, I'm tired right now It's almost 3AM here

I am one of those guys... Been here since day 1 . I Love everything you guys are doing and am excitied to see all the progress, and one day play the final game!

Looks great but I don't think the guys in charge will go with it. Personally, I'd love to see something like that but, with all the cutting involved, it would be better for Kano to pull out a few more organs and leave heart for the last. I'd like to see these guys do something extra for this remake (like alter that lame Liu Kang finish or make Sonya's kiss of death destroy opponent in different way than Scorpion's Ghost Rider thing), you know, give their signature to the game (aside from the credits :)), a real testimony to their work, but they are pretty adamant in refusing almost any deviation from the original.

It's true, but the idea still here in case of an Mk 1.5, let's wait and see ^^
 
I like what Bleed do with this scorpion vs sub-sero video :) I'm agree with that , the game must be much close to original, arcade one !
The fatality looks great, just flames must be more.. bigger and impressive ;)
Only one thing I did not like in the video , the gameplay look bit to faster than the original game, the transfusion of animation in animation becomes too sharp and looks weird, must be more smooth, if at all possible with this engine.The original game don't have that problem.
 
I think they look fine and their proportions look correct for the most part in all the ways that matter. I'm reminded of how I got confused by how they looked in the arcade because the pixel aspect ratio of the non 4:3 image was being squashed onto 4:3 making them look taller\skinnier than they really are. This was especially noticable in MK2 when a character was laying down and they look distorted.

I trust that Bleed is making them correct both proportionally and aspect ratio-wise.
