Mortal Kombat HD Remix with MUGEN

This is true, but he also isnt focusing on this project for 10 hours every day. He isn't being paid for this remember. Also Bleed is doing the job of several professionals. Modeling/Sculpting/Rigging/ Animation/ Textures and Rendering. If Bleed were only focused om Animation and didn't need to worry about paying rent..he would be much faster.

On average, any animation takes around 2 hours. Usually I wait till Tuesday and make one before going to sleep. During the day I'll be working on a model or looking for tutorials, procrastinating, etc. So I'm taking my sweet time with it, that is part of the reason why it's slow. Doesn't help that my computer isn't very strong and I have to render to see a preview of what I'm doing.

Animation isn't that hard, making models, rigging and all that is more difficult IMO.

Hello all. I've been a long time fan of Bleed's MKP work and have been meaning to post these pics for a little while. Bleed made the Scorpion on the side, and my brother and friend made this for my last birthday.

The cabinat was going to have a Gamboy SD in it with a special micro sd adaptor that would let me play MKP on it, with Bloody Scorpion, Bloody Shang Tsun etc.

But they invited me over to find out about it as a surprise right before they finished it, and with the last bit of soldering they had to do, the accidentally ruined the motherboard inside. And since the particular model gameboy needed is rare and expensive, and my brother and I aren't on the best of terms lately, I doubt it will ever be finished. But it looks great on my desk.

I just wanted to share it and say thanks to Bleed for all his work.

Thanks Bleed.

ps. I've seen some pretty stupid kickstarter ideas take off. I'd drop a teny on say a Bloody Kombat game. Set a high goal, let kickstarter pay your bills and hire out the basic programming. (as you won't be able to use Mugen for sale) Also CHARACTER DESIGN IS MY REAL WORK, not law school. And I've seen your art Bleed so I know you're capable of designing MK-esque characters that wouldn't infringe on WB copyrights.

I remember when my brother went through all my old 2nd edition D&D stuff (I was a badass DM) and told me I needed to send some of it into a video game company to try and get a job as a level/character designer. With how hard it is for new lawyers to find work, I kinda wish I had.

Just my thoughts.

MrMos3s,

I hope you are still ready to rock. I'll have a new Goro Portrait for you to mess with very soon...

Still ready to rock! although my work will probably happen slower than usual, my first weeks of the new job have been eating up about all of my time and I won't have a lot of time to do much for the next 8 or so days...

Congrats on the new job by the way! I'm hoping that your job is creative to some extent. We are in no rush. Thanks for being patient with me and sticking around despite everything you've been going through.

Is it just me or does Goro's textures or something look a bit odd? The earlier renders looked much better, in my opinion.

Hmm. Not too sure. The old Goro was totally innacurate to the original proportionally and otherwise. I added some blood to skin of the old Goro which made him look clearer but there is a ton more detail in this rendering than there was in the old one.

I think part of it is he still need to have his eyes in shadow to look as cool as everyone remembers but technically the model is much closer than the original Gojira version. I did a quick Photoshop overlay to show you how lighting can make all the difference.

No no, I meant the earlier images you posted of this new model. This one: http://grab.by/ffVI

He looked MUCH better there, in my opinion. These new shots make him look kinda murky/muddy.

I see, that was an in zBrush render with displacement. This version in Max doesn't look nearly as good because the depth to the muscles isn't as apparent using only a normal map to fake the depth. I'll tweak the shader some more and see if I can get it closer to that shot.
