Mortal Kombat HD Remix with MUGEN

I LOVE IT, it looks much more aggressive, everything is looking great.... just the hands need an extra care and maybe you can exaggerate the jaw animation a little bit more... congrats bleed...

when I grow up I want to be like you LOL :bird:

Baraka Vs. MKII Kung Lao would be awesome, Bleed.

P.S. Updated eyes and ears are better.
I vote to keep all MK1,II,3HD material in this one thread.

Good work on the facial animation, and the fixes to the ankles and blades.

Now about the body animation, although I like where it's going, I'm not sure about the timing.
The way see it now, the animation is a four-step:
1. Shoulders go up, chest widens
2. Head goes forward
3. Shoulders go down
4. Head goes back

It looks a bit disjointed. As if he was coughing in slow motion.
The head going forward should be part of the same motion as the shoulders, and both motions should peak at the same time.
It should be the inhalation that drives all of it.

To sum it up, I'd make it a two step:
1. Shoulders go up, chest widens, and head moves forward
2. The whole thing goes back to starting position.

If you're in the mood for experimenting, you could also try having the head move the opposite way.
That is, reaching the furthest forward at the peak of the exhalation instead of the inhalation.
That way I guess it will look less "beastly" but more natural.

His eyes look white, but it's just the reflection from the light, I made the white part of the eyes black, and the Iris a dark redish brown.

excellent work Bleed. congratulations
I wish we could see all of these details in game with this resolution !
Maybe one day it become possible.

Bleed.... you're so awesome!
...much better than the original
Whoa! Now, as awesome as Bleed is (and Bleed... you're so awesome!) I don't think it's right to be throwing out phrases like that because 1. the originals and this remake are constructed from two VERY different mediums, and 2. saying something like "much better than the original" kind of defeats the whole purpose of this project now, doesn't it? If they didn't find the originals as incredible as they are, would these talented people devote so much time to this project? They don't wanna improve the originals, they're making a love letter to them! My two cents.

The form is perfect a think. but you have some problems in the dark areas.

i.e. the white part of the cloth are too dirty. And the side of the face too dark.

Else this looks just perfect. great work.

OMG, Bleed you are unstoppable. baraka looks real, well done and keep up the great work.

BTW, if one day MK9 mesh importing became possible, i hope you will add this wonderful model to the game.

I don't like how grainy the animations come out with Vray, I wasn't getting this with Mentalray...
The gloss on his eyes was flashing a lot, and I had to paint it out.

THIS IS WHAT I WANTED TO SEE, I love the way the neck attaches to the chest, the arms and hands looks great.... bleed I'm having a lot of trouble with the sprites, first what I told you about the batch option in photoshop.... If I make the sprites one by one everything works fine but as soon as I try to use the batch option the sprites gets messy.... other thing is that I'm having so much problems with the sprites in mugen.. today I'll try to make them work, I don't know how but I'll do my best... even adding chars to mugen wich is pretty ease is becoming a pain in the ...:bird:

Incredible work, Bleed.

Only think I find a little strange is the blades, which seem too dark, instead of chrome-y, and too blunt on the tips when they're rectracted (they look about right in the victory pose).
I guess to solve the elbow flexing you scaled them length-wise when they retract, perhaps?
If so, maybe you could scale the upper half of the blades, the one closest to the elbows and keep the other half intact.

BTW, I love the grain. If I had the chance I'd make the whole game have it. Suits the retro lo-fi gritty look.

Another tiny detail: right now his lateral triceps are too close to the front of the arm.
Especially the top part should tend to the back of the arm, and it should be bulkier than the bottom, doing a U-turn to merge with the back of the arm, instead of fading out as it goes up.
Maybe this helps.
Consider however that the arm being in a relaxed position, the muscle should be a bit larger but less defined.

Other than that, I really like how you sculpted the arms.

I'd also try to make the motion of his chest filling more apparent.
Pull his sternum forward when the shoulders go up.
Things are looking mostly still there.

I don't know, that model looks better than the MK9 models. It might look out of place :)
