Mortal Kombat HD Remix with MUGEN

Thanks I'll fix those things, I measured the feet with a real human using an overlay with the reference, and that's the size I got.

If they look too big, it's got to be the camera distortion.
 
What are you planning to do with that baraka bleed? Are making hd sprites? Or are you making a video? How are you going to present it?

Since the idea is to give him actual eyes, it won't be a 100% match, but I tried to get as close as I could and capture the expression/character.

I need to make a short clip of him fighting with another character, maybe Raiden, Shao Kahn, Jax, Cage or Kitana... I have a few models already started that I could use for the second character. It's like an FMV basically, but something very short like the clips from that MK2 commercial with the awesome costumes.

Kitana! I want to see some Kitana HD sprites sooner or later.
 
What I'm afraid of doing with Kitana is the hair, it already takes a ridiculously long time to render a bald character at low resolution. With Kitana, I'm guessing it'll take like 5 hours per frame with the two characters at once...

It takes me like 10 hours to make a 1 second animation render at low resolution with Baraka, and I get a lot of noise in it. From what I can tell so far, Mental Ray is way faster with better results at lower resolution.

Ok, so I have to say that the Baraka model looks great and all, but can you guys please get back to MK1?
I know Bleed is working on a portfolio for a job and everything, but this thread is like 10 pages off topic. Arq is throwing some Liu Kang updates in here and there, but the general focus is just on Baraka at this point. Myself and other people usually come here excitedly hoping to see the next update, but this is just getting a little ridiculous. The Baraka model should have it's own thread, keeping the MK1 HD Remix thread being all about MK1 HD Remix.

I'm not looking to cause any trouble here, just expressing my concern about the project.
 
I agree, we all could benefict from two different topics. Also Bleed could have a MK1 character as Baraka's opponent, so we could get a nice progress. Even the fighting video could be with MK1 characters so as Bleed works on his portfolio, the MK1HD intro get some progress as well.
 
I was thinking about that too, with Raiden or Cage. I don't really want to start another topic for MKHD stuff, because this one will fade away. It's pretty much Arq and I keeping it alive right now.

If it's more MKtrilogy than MK1, that's ok IMO, at least we have something moving in here.
 
IMO, if the MK1HD team (Bleed included....maybe even especially Bleed) wants to post MK2HD or MK3HD stuff, that's not off-topic at all. It's the same people, developing their skill set, and getting feedback and learning things that will ultimately help with MK1HD and make it better. I for one don't feel like checking 2 different threads to find out the latest on what Bleed et al. are up to, so I actually appreciate and encourage everyone to keep posting that kinda stuff here.

MK1HD team posting MK2HD = It's all MKHD!
 
Doing Raiden as Baraka's opponent would be wiser if you're applying for Netherrealm studios (remember Daniel was fired and Carlos is still working there).
 
I agree with Carz and I also want to add that getting Raiden in good shape will continue to push MKHD project forward since you will have to texture him and rig him well for your demo movie.
 
Made the animation more exaggerated
Added muscle bones to the traps and chest
Added jaw bone
Added extra bones for the Armor
Made the blades more straight
made the ankle joint lower and made the skinning sharper around it.

Haven't fixed the hands yet.
