Mortal Kombat HD Remix with MUGEN

Woah. MUGEN doesn't allow partially transparent PNG files? That sucks.
What ever happened to MUGEN 1.1? I thought it would be released by now.
Interloko was testing it, does anybody know is it still being worked on?
I think there was talk of it suporting transparent .png and all sorts of new stuff.

@Bleed, wow never knew about collision boxes for N64 Trilogy, and I used to play that game
like crazy back in the day. The question is, how different the gameplay and sprites are for N64
Mk Trilogy compared to MK3/UMK3 on Arcades. I think I remember gameplay being quite different on N64.
 
Trilogy was faster than UMK3, there were extra moves, and some old specials work differently, that's all I know.


The bump mapping on Goro is too large, strong and uniform. It should be removed from the lips.

The camera angle should be lower, looking up at him a liiiiittle bit.

A blue light and a purple light need to be added above and behind his head.

His front shouldn't be so dark, needs another light to fill in the dark or expand the range of the existing one. Maybe use the sky light at a very low setting.

Yeah everything you see is how Gojira originally had it. I can move the camera angle down a bit more but I was hoping someone would touch up the base in photoshop colors and all. As for the large bumps uniform bumps, I guess I can mess around with that a little bit. Not sure if Gojira maintained layers in zbrush though. As for the lights I'm having trouble in vray getting the light to color his skin.

I don't use Vray, so I'm not sure what's wrong. I'd check the light options and make sure you have the color swatch set correctly. If it's too much trouble, it can be added in Photoshop by hand.

Pull anim, first pass, gonna spend some time today, getting this in mugen to up a vid with the spear and uppercut.

I'm itching to get it working >D

The rope will have to be re done to match his hands. The position is different from UMK3, but that's something to fix in the future.

Ok, another Goro portrait image for you. I've changed his skin tone to be more in line with the original, so he is more orange colored than tan.

Looking good calactyte, would it be hard to change the position of light to the front of goro's face for the portrait?

I was also thinking in the original MK1, they used the Goro Lives model in his portrait. Bleed, is the light position in Goro Lives still editable?
 
It's editable in the 3D program.

Here's the best way for me to illustrate without one of those nifty 3D softwares..

If it would be an easy change and you guys find it necessary, maybe calactyte could try to apply this to his model, and you could apply it to the Goro lives model for us to compare/decide..

Like the orbs I added in the picture, move the main warmer light to the front-mid region of Goro, and if it's possible, a bluer light coming directly from the top left (his right) and this should work for both the Goro Lives background and his Portrait background (if everything works like the original)


EDIT: I see now that I brought the warmer light too close to Goro, otherwise the insides of his arms would be glowing as well. Hopefully what I intended still came through.

Hello everyone im a little late to the party and dont really have anything to contribute,some of you may recognize the name,odds are if you played the original MK on xbox you got decapitated by me many times. I went on a month bender and shot up to number 2 in the world with my man sub zero.Now i just stick with MK on mame.Anyway as impressive as that is its nothing compared to the work i saw from Bleed..That scorpion looks bad ass!!!!I need that ice cold bastard sub if i expect to damage people tho:(Just wanted to say all this is so cool,and if i dont have at-least some playable version of this remake on my hard drive by next year..ill cry...A man can only take so much gta4 icenhancer,this project excites me more than gta5,id rather take this completed remake over a high end super computer teleported back through time 100 years from the future deliverd to me by a T2 with a bag of weed..


If anyone wants a lagged out ass kicking in MK,but only the original MK because that's all i play,add me on steam

I say take the sounds straight from what ever the latest revision arcade rom that they have for mame and use that..Bleed have you got a chance to work on any fatality's??
