Mortal Kombat Arkades - The Komlete Kollection

I see how you made it from scratch, but how did you get that art? Did you paint it, print it, or purchase it?

Purchased. That stuff is easy to find on Ebay, Craigslist.com, etc.

But this is very impressive man.

I need to get in contact with you. :)

I got the side art from here...

Everything else, I got on Ebay. I built the machine in Hawaii while I was in the Navy. When it came time to ship it home, I was really worried, but it ended up making it ok. I ended up having the crop the "MK3" from the side art and make my own "3" because the company I got the art from just stretched the image and it didn't look right. below is a video of me changing it out...

It appears deeper than the other cabinets, or is that just my eyes?

I really love the design with the keyboard and all. How well does that Subwoofer kick with the MK music?

When I built it, I added 2" to all the height measurements because I am 6'4" and it's hard to lean over and play the dedicated games. Also, the dedicated cabs stop about 2" back from the front and the sides come out further. My UMK3 goes all the way out to the front, making it appear deeper. As for the sound, let's just say it's...(in my best Shao Khan voice) OUTSTANDING!!

In the videos above, I had the games in the Dining area of my house because I was working on the game room. I had to install a ceiling fan and chose to paint the walls "Mercer Blue." That's all done now and I have moved all the machines into the game room. In the mean time, I have also gotten my hands on (and restored) a Killer Instinct 2, and a 4-player Simpsons, and a 2002 Maxx Emerald Edition Megatouch. The Simpsons and the Megatouch won't fit in the gameroom comfortably, so they are staying in the Dining area until I get some more room in the house. Anyway, here are some updated pics...

I need a bigger house, one with a large room for a game room on the ground floor.

I just found a local deal for a CRAP LOAD of great arcade games for a total of $9000. If only that'd happen in a few months, when I may have the cash.

this thread made me cream my panties :sheep:
